November 2020 Mummies

Congrats on officially being in tri 2, @CrazyChic! :) Five days to go for me.

I think I’m just having a moaning day x___x Just been crying because I have so few warm weather clothes I can wear and it’s 24 degrees out. Two maxi dresses is all I have. My boobs are too big for everything else and my skirts are all waist ones and I no longer have a waist!

It’d be funny if it wasn’t so annoying. I’m too scared to buy maternity clothes in case everything goes wrong on Tuesday :/
Sorry that you've been upset today :(

Rock those maxi dresses and buy more clothes.

If you don't want to buy maternity, maybe just buy a couple more maxi dresses for now? They'll still be useful later in your pregnancy too.

I have nothing to wear either so I went on a Preloved buying Facebook group and bought a load of dresses which I should be able to wear through the summer and also through autumn with leggings and jumpers. Until they arrive I'm rocking my PJs.

Not long to your scan now, fingers crossed for you xx

I have brought a few bits of eBay, lots of bargains.

I'm always buying stuff on ebay. Although I have just found 3 nursing bras on amazon for £20

Hi everyone, I don’t post very often. Am 13weeks 2 days now. I had a private scan at 10 weeks, and I have had 2 at the hospital due to me being high risk. My next one isn’t till 20 weeks which I know is normal but I can’t help think 7 weeks is a long time to wait to make sure everything is ok especially when am such a worrier. I am tempted to book another private scan for around 16 weeks but don’t know if I am being ridiculous. Sorry for the long post

Hey Laurent, nice to hear from you :) If another private scan makes you feel better then go for it :) I don’t think that’s ridiculous at all.

Take some reassurance from the fact that the most recent scan results must have been positive enough that they don't feel the need to see you again for 7 weeks. I know that it feels so frustrating waiting so long between each scan. Especially at this stage when you just don't know what the hell bub is doing in there all day long.

It might help your anxiety to do little things in your control each day to keep healthy, gentle exercise, meditation, eat good food, get some sunshine etc.

But if you really feel that knowing you have that extra scan in the horizon is something you can do to feel better, why not.

Today’s the day! :/ I had nightmares about it all again last night. I will probably not be able to post much today due to nerves but I’ll let you know if it’s good news when we get back to the car at around 5.30.

Goodluck!
I had the same nerves before my scan (anxious personality). I'm sure it will all be good news! Sounds like you have certainly had plenty of pregnancy symptoms to contend with. Enjoy seeing wriggly bub, they certainly are surprisingly busy in there.

Hello everyone,
I have my first scan on Thursday. I’m a bit confused with the new government Covid guidelines. Should I wear a face mask/face covering? I have messaged the hospital and they said if I wanted to I could. Just feeling anxious about it.
What would everyone do/done? thanks

I wore one but I was the only patient I saw that did! Felt a bit silly to be honest but it is recommended here that we wear them when out in public.

Yeah I just don’t know what to expect with it all. The whole new guidelines are clear and doesn’t help that I suffer with anxiety.

Good luck, you'll be fine. The nerves are normal and I hope the day goes quick for you. Can't wait to see your picture xx

All depends on the hospital and area your in, my hospital provided me with one xx

All perfect! I’m measuring exactly 12 + 5 so baby has caught up a week. Due date is 19th of November. I burst into tears when I saw the baby on the screen :) Pics to follow.
So pleased to hear that!!! Congratulations
