Hi all, Owens 4 weeks old. He has started to make a few grunting / squeeling noises when I put him in his Moses ( he is a bit stuffy I think but noticed the noises worse past few days) also he spits up a bit of milk at strange times like hours after he is fed! Not loads but makes me wonder? Could he be unwell or under weather or is this normal? Ive been giving him infacol in case its wind ..He also has a few White heads appear on his face - I've put sudocream but no idea why he is getting them? Sorry if I'm over reacting or silly questions. Being a new mum I panic about everything!! Thanks in advance xxx

Hey Hun,

The white heads sound like milk spots which are completely normal and common in LO's
Sounds like ur LO may have a case of reflux? Have you read about this at all? xxxx

I was gonna say the same as babywestwood. Milk spots and reflux. Baby gaviscon's good for reflux, you can get it on prescription

Really? I was thinking baby reflux maybe? Is there anything natural u can recommend or over counter or is it def a doctors thing? Only cause I've noticed most meds r for 3 months plus? With milk spots ( ie jite heads) do I just keep putting sudocream on them? Thanks xx

The milk spots will eventually go, I can't remember when charley's went but it didn't take long and you can get baby gaviscon from the pharmacy. Charley's got reflux and it helped him alot when he was afew months old but the more oz's he drunk the harder it was to do the sachet's so gave up and he's still sick now

Hey there.
What a cute name :):) I haven't met any other owen babies yet!
My monkey Owen also had spots and stuff, they are common but if they look infected get yourself straight to the docs. We had a few troubles but you have nothing to worry about I;m sure hon.
With regards to the reflux, Owen never had it but did have wind problems, we used gripe water syringed before his breast feeds from about 3 weeks. It REALLY helped, you can just buy from boots so maybe start that asap and see if it helps?
Hope he starts settling for you soon xx

yea milk spots and reflux, u cud try raising the head of his basket, by putting a pillow un der the feet of the side his head lies on, raise as much as u can, if u go to gp they usually prescribe infanct gaviscon which is fab, milk spots just ignore them :) xxx

Hiya!

Jack has had a snuffly nose for the past 2 weeks now. The Doctor said his chest is clear.

We've been using Calpol's saline spray up his nose when he's very snuffly to clear it a bit and it really helps! We've also been putting Olbas for children drops on the foot end of his moses basket at night, it does say not recommended before 3 months but he's been fine with it, so it's up to you to decided whether or not to use it.

Jack doesn't have reflux but he does sometimes bring up tiny amounts of milk up to an hour after his bottles. It's a tiny bit that literally dribbles down the side of his mouth. Is Owen's a lot of just a dribbly bit? x

I took Owen to docs today she sees to think not reflux. Maybe a litle colic? So she has given me some diff drops to try those. He had Bren farting loads and when he poos he poos! So my my mum thinks it may be a stomach ache? I'm just going to try a few things and see if the help xx

Aww bless! Fingers crossed he gets better :) Colic is kinda like a tummy ache for them! Is he bringing his legs up to his tummy at all?? Thats one of the signs of colic they tell u 2 look for xxx
