Just a quick few questions.

I am preg with twins, had 3 babies before, and provided everything ok will have them naturally. How supportive have others eg docs, midwives been for a truly natural birth?
I am NOT going to be bullied into a medicalised, natural birth of my babies. Thank goodness my OH is supportive.
I mean eg tied to bed, continuous monitoring, drips in etc. to me that is not natural.

Hi, I am a midwife and I have been part of some truly amazing multiple births. I think you need to make sure that you get a midwife who is pro natural multiple birth and also make sure your support system is strong, as some doctors do like to hover at the door waiting for it to go wrong. It is your birth and you have the right to the birth you want. If you have a good midwife she should try her best to help you achieve the birth you want. After the first baby is born there is a chance that the second baby could turn, because there is a lot of space for that baby to move once the other one is born, so just be aware that this may happen. Maybe talk to your consultant about the options and the process if things do start to go towards medical intervention so you are fully prepared for any eventuality? I hope this helped xx

Thanks wannabmummy. That has helped. I know I need a good support network and need to be strong.

If you want any one to talk to about it and another persons/midwifes opinion please always feel free to private message me :) x

I saw a brill one born where a lady had her twins naturally. The doc had to help second twin turn and she delivered both with no probs. was amazing to watch. I always wrongly assumed twins = caesarean for at least one twin. Good luck x

Heya, I'm expecting identical twins and my hospital are very pro natural birth. As there are risks with the placenta disintegrating I will be induced on 4th December if I haven't had them already as I can't go over 37wks. C-Section is a last option if induction fails. I know with fraternal twins you can normally last til 37-38wks and you should be fine to have a natural birth.
Good luck :) x
