Hey just wondered what everyone's pregnancy New Year's Eve plans were?

Me and my partner normally go out to the pub , obviously not this year :D

Does anyone have any good ideas that we could do? I don't want to end up bored and falling asleep and miss the New Year coming in. I think my OH would much rather be in the pub, but I don't think he will, just got to make it more exciting!

Any ideas? Or what are you guys doing? xx

We are not massive Fans of going out NYE but since having our lb it never happens! We generally will go get a load of nice food (and drinks if not pg!), watch a good film/play games and then tune into the tv stuff for midnight and have a toast. God that sounds boring?! Or you could have friends round and have a mini celebration? Or you could go for a late meal out? Hard when you’re pg to stay awake til midnight for sure!

Yeah I was thinking I will probably end up asleep hah!! My 12 week scan is 30th December so we won't be announcing the pregnancy until New Year I don't think. Will be difficult getting friends round and not drinking etc x

I will be asleep. Aha. Honestly find it hard to stay awake after 8pm. No my husband will probably wake me up at 11 so will watch the fireworks.
Someone usually has a party, no sign of one yet. Praying there isn't one this year lol.

New years is our time so we tend to grab a couple of bottle of champagnes, play music and just getting merry into the late hours.

Obviously that won't be happening this year and I will probably be knocked out by 9:30pm.

Nope, that sounds perfect!
Firstly its absolutely freezing to go out and secondly, you avoid sitting in traffic for 2-3 hours as everyone is out!

we usually just get a takeaway and some rum to make cocktails at home and play cards and watch a DVD. we don't usually stay up since having DD. new year's day tends to be our day now, we go to the cinema (star wars this year), out for a meal and always finish at the casino where we take £30 and do our best with that haha

We usually have friends up for a couple of nights or we go to them but they have brother coming from new zealand for new year so interestes in what everyone else is doing. Have a 12 and 10 year old so likely we will get nice food and drink (if im not pg) and plays games, watch film and then crawl into bed after fireworks! Tempted to go away for a nighy or two but probably loads of money!

We will just be staying in with our 10 month old lol! Maybe will watch on tv..We did that when I when pregnant too..and the few years before! haha. I'm not a fan of how busy it gets out xx

We just stay at home ,have some nice food, Obviously no drink for me this year and play some games, after our daughter is in bed we will either watch a film if I can stay awake and watch the fireworks whilst trying to keep the dog calm.

I can't remember the last time I saw midnight at NYE!

I saw new years eve in last year as we was out but other then that I've not seen new year in since I was pregnant last time 6 years ago

We have stayed in the last few years, after having our little boy. To be honest, I prefer it.

One year OH went and fetch a takeaway and we had that with bucks fizz - watched tv and went to bed before midnight.

Last year, I got loads of party food and did a bit of a help yourself tea, washed down with some fizz.

This year, whether i'm pregnant or not, it will be similar - deffo party food and i'm hoping, i'll be able to have a glass of fizz if baby has arrived!

I'll be relieved if baby is already here, or doesn't make an appearance on NYE!!

We usually stay in too.

Kids in bed and it's a "party" for 2.

We get nice food, expensive wine and generally have our last overindulgence of the festive period.

This year I'll no doubt be moaning about not being able to do what we usually do

I always see in the New Year though. I was also heavily pregnant in 2014 going into 2015 and we watched movies and made a big comfy floor bed in the living room.

X

Last year I spent hogmanay & new year in bed with the norovirus/vomiting into the toilet so after having hyperemesis I'd like to NOT be vomiting this year. That's pretty much my only plan so far hahaha
