I am just about to fill out an application form for these classes. Has anyone else been? Did you find them worthwhile?

I haven't been had a look at them but can't afford to do them at the moment really so just having the free local ones

I am going to do them - don't start until November though so right at the end for me.

DH and I had our first one on Saturday and we have 2 more on the upcoming 2 Saturdays.

I have found so far that I know most of it from being on here but there are 2 very important reasons why I am really pleased we made the decision to go:

1) We have met some lovely couples from our local area, all expecting their first babies within 1 month of us and all in this to make friends with other first time parents.
2) This is a fantastic way of ensuring DH is involved and is made aware of all the most important information rather than me relaying bits and bobs to him (usually while he is doing other things).

I'd definitely recommend it.

I've booked on for November. I know a few friends who have been on them and say that it's really good for Dads-to-be and for meeting others in the same boat!

I enquired about these as wanted to meet mums due at the same time, they offered refreshers , which didn't come with a reunion after , and wouldn't let me on the normal ones eve if I taped my mouth up! as I already had one kid.

I must admit wouldn't want my hubby to go with me tho ....

Going to try pregnancy yoga or something simular I think to meet mums, but would recomend any pregnancy classes esp if your first to meet mums and freinds for life

I have signed up and starting in October.
I decided to go for it as it is our first baby and also a few friends and family that have gone along, couldn't praise it enough.

I've nearly finished my NCT classes - got 2 left (out of 7)

It's been really nice to meet other couples, that was one of my main reasons for wanting to go to the classes.

It has also been a good environment to ask lots of "silly" questions without feeling like an idiot. We are all in the same boat so all questions are answered nicely!

The only thing I would say is that they do promote heavily breast-feeding, so if you are planning on solely bottle feeding you probably won't find out that much info about that.

All in all, I have definitely found the classes worthwhile and my husband has found them interesting too :)

Thanks everyone for the replys! Really looking forward to going now!

I have booked them to start in October, for the same reason as everyone else, to meet people. Other mums in my area and other dads to be for the OH.

We did think it over alot though as they are expensive.
