Well.. Where to start, 5am friday morning i woke up for my usual piddle, pitch dark dont no what made me look at tissue but i did and saw something that didnt look like pee! Turned light on looked into toilet and bright red blood and quite abit, instant panic, phoned labour ward who told me to go up, dashed n got stuff n we went to hospital i was shit scared...
Got to hospital put on trace, baby was fine but was still bleeding fresh blood, they took bloods a doctor came in to examine me, and i was 3 cm dilated, they then went away and come back and said i was staying until had baby, i thought i was just being admitted to a ward, so i was sending my oh home to work, next thing there like ok well take you round to the labour ward! I was like what now!!!
Gets to labour ward examined again sweep done bery stretchy tried break my waters but they couldnt as they had gone when i dont no! They suspected the blood was from part of my placenta coming away,said going put me on a drip of oxytocin speed things up but be prepared for csection, so i couldnt eat or drink anything whole time just incase! Get hooked up to monitors and on bed for whole delivery which os one place i didnt want to give birth!
Drip gets started, along with canulas put in which took 5 attempts i wasnt happy!!! Had calmed down abit baby was hally and was chopsin away to midwifes i said i feel like this is the calm before the storm!!! How true it was!!!!
Drip kept getting increased so did the contractions got stronger! They said as id had a bleed the drip would make things move quicker. So at 8.30am i was 3 cm they wouldnt examine me until 3.30 again, come 12.30 i wad in so much pain and demanding to be examined which they wouldnt in the end i told th they better had!!ha they wouldnt give me any pain relief until id been examined, its a good job they did examine me!!! 12.30 5cm dilated. Then soneone examined me again at about 1,20 and i was 9cm! Labouring quick and wanting to bloody push! Had gas and air, n diamorphine both didnt do what i expected but my oh said i calmed down abot so they must of done sonething! As before them i was demanding a epidural every contraction!'ha any i had i dont no how many doctors go up there and examine me easy 6 drs! Thinking back they couldnt figure out where babys head was so think thats what they were doing.
Babys hb started dip so they then had take blood from her head, that seem to take forever having fingers up there while contracting isnt the best!!ha anyway they stopped oxitocyn and babys hb was ok again,time to push! They said as i had a bleed lets not wait for head cone down n just push theyl let me push for a hour, so of i go....!! Pushing away and im sure they thought i wadnt pushing right so back in went fingers and i was told to push against them! Then to be told i was pushing excellently!have that midwifes!ha anyway a hour passed and i just new things werent moving anywhere, they then said push for another 20mims but doctor came in and said her heads stuck your not going to get her out, next step theatre to have forceps theyd try pull her put 3 times if nothing csection.
I was told while waiting go down to stop pushing... Hmmm yeah right that not easy!! All time i was going how long is it going to be of i go to theatre still pushing all way there grabbing poor midwife, had a spinal and omg i could gone sleep i was shatterd and pain free, was told to push and next minute there saying shes here, i was like where!! They said on your tummy. Then she cryed and i did !! Amazing!! They toolkher away clean her up n brought her vack she had a bruised lip and eye from forceps bless... Oh had her n i was stiched up had to be cut, we were then taking to recovery where i spent 4 hours sat there all drug had made me sick n i couldt stay away i was exhausted!! They wanted more blood but my veins had collapsed so i wasnt impressed with all the poking trying get blood from me which they couldnt, got taken to ward at 9.30 n oh went home, i slept nurses were good they fed her as i cluldnt move, next day i got up had shower felt better very sore but bearable n i just sat looking at my girl, oh came at 10 and we were aloud hone that day after more bloods and anti d..
N thats about it i think sorry for the waffling!! But my princess myla was born on friday 13th at 5.37pm weighing 7lb 15oz 11 days early! Shes gorgeous im smitten and in love and love being a mummy!!! Was a unexpected delivery but id do it all again!!! So worth it!! Labour hmmmm painfull!! Thats all i can say!!haxx
