my mix-raced baby

thanks girls
I will teach my Noa that he got the best of both and that that make him special! but not better (or worse) then anyone else!

He will be a perfect little person chick. We all are, whether we are black, white, or sky blue/pink with yellow dots, were all equal  xx

Don't listen to them!!! It doesn't matter where your from, what you look like or what you do as long as you are both there for little Noa nothing else matters!!! It's like they say things about step-dad's mine is fantastic and so excited about being a Granddad and ok he has known me since i was born but he has been my step-dad since i was 6 and noone would ever know i wasn't his and i love him to pieces!! Just bite your tongue and know that Noa will get the best of two worlds and will make him a better person!!!

They are ignorant bigots hun and should be ashamed of themselves. Hold your head up high and fuck the lot of them

Ignore them idiots, mixing up the gene pool can only be a good thing! xx

I'm sure they wouldn't have an opinion if the parents had different eye colour and that's down to different genes, why should it be so different for skin colour? Their problem, not yours hon!!

Isobel please don't let ignorant people get under your skin. Theyre not worth it and their opinions don't matter. to be honest a lot of them might be jealous as mixed race babies are just so cute and as someone else commented genetically strong. My kids are mixed race but I don't get nasty comments, not to my face anyway!! and as far as we're concerned and as amyjane said they are lucky as they have best of both worlds. 2 languages, 2 cultures etc.

exactly buttons, they are beautiful, strong little beings of the future :)

anyway, considering that we are a tiny island full of people, and that we have been invaded about a thousand times in our history, we are all a bit of lots of stuff anyway! if we werent we would all be scraping the gene pool just a little bit by now dont you think!!!!

Mixed race babies are much, much better for the life-line of all of us

as i said, i am quite jealous!

Good for you hunni I wish my babies had an advantage of both worlds! :) my sil's brother has a rusian wife that's best of both worlds they are both White but English and rusian to me it's the same two different backgrounds it's great their kids -well the oldest anyway is bi-ligual it's so amazing listening to the dif languages from a girl that will be three this year - you will be giving your baby the same gift :) and if your other half is English then if nothing else you cN garentee he is gonna be beautiful anyway :) x x x x x

Jeeeezzzzz!
I can only echo what the others have said and advise you to ignore their ignorance!
I am an only child to my mam and dad but my mam was previously married and ALL of my older siblings are mixed race! And they are no different from you me or the rest of the world! I can understand peoples personal opionions as everyone is entitle to theirs but to blatently be rude to you is a big NO NO!

You and your OH will be great parents and one day...maybe....society will realise that skin colour is no different to hair or eye colour and leave the rest of the world to live their lives!

Good luck to you and your OH and Noa when he arrives! xxx

I just can't get over how rude people can be!! It's truely shocking! What the hell has it got to do with them???

Your child is going to be so beautiful and very much loved, ignore the small minded people Hun!

Aww honey thats outrageous, how dare people say things like that. You should ignore them, either that or get them told! For the record I think mixed race children are beautiful and can't see any problem at all. I'm sure your little man will be gorgeous and strong like his mummy, ready to fight for whats right. Wishing you lots of luck and love in your pregnancy xx

thanks girls! If someone havent got anything good to say i dont care what they thinks really and I feel sorry for ppl that dont know better. (i dont even think most of them realise that they are being rude)
Its just that it really got to me yesterday not for me but thinking bringing a little innocent boy in to a world where some ppl think hes not welcomed.
BUT he is welcomed and wanted, by the ppl that counts.
And both me and OH is sooo happy that we can give him so much from OHs traditions in africa and from mine in sweden and also some english ones as we live here. He will as you said speak atleast 2 languages (english and swedish) and grow up being a clever and loving little boy.
Im taking no more shit! bring it on, thats all i can say to them from now on.

Good for you Isobel....I used to be really quiet and shy when I was younger and once I was pregnant I realised that I was the only one who would protect my DD and not let anyone hurt her....needless to say like you I also dont take any sh&t from anyone these days! Lol xxx

being a mum- thats girlpower!

People are so insensitive, it really makes no difference, and I think mix raced babies are the cutest!! :)

what a load of ignorant people hun, just ignore them babe.
my LO has a combination of asian, english and jamaican in her ( im english/jamaican and OH is asian/english) we shouldnt be made to feel like were doing something wrong. as long a our children have a loving mum and dad, nothing else should come into the equation.

they should get with the times, there are more and more mixed race couples, which means more and more beautiful children to add to the world.
xx
