For some reason my husband thinks that having a baby is easy. He does not seem to grasp the amount of work that goes into having a new born. I think that he thinks that having a baby will not change his lifestyle much.

This is our first baby, and i think they call it labour for a reason - because it is work... but he seems to think that after the baby arrives it will be easy. i want to believe him, but everyone i talk to says how much work it is and how difficult it is manage everything.
men! :)

My bloke was like that at first, he soon changed his opinion! Lol!!

Tbh I think I had it easy with DD, she slept through from 4 weeks old and was an unbelievably good baby. I didn't stop going out places like for meals with family, lunch with friends, swimming, shopping etc just because I had a baby so my life didn't change all that dramatically. It's not a walk in the park but I didn't find it was really hard work either. As long as you're prepared since the one time you forget the changing bag the baby WILL promptly poo, be sick and wee everywhere! Trust me on that one! Lol!

The changing bag thing is so true! I suffered post natal depression so did find it hard at first but looking back I wouldn't of changed anything!

I don't think mine realises how hard it is for me now!! He just doesn't get that I can't walk the same speed as him anymore, I'm tired, that I want chocolate every now and then, AND THAT CORGETTES MAKE ME WANNA THROW UP!!!

He did say at one point, what are we going to do the two weeks I'm on paternity leave? Ha, he'll find out soon enough!!

I think i must be lucky, my hubby knew it would be hard and gave up alot when we had our first. He wouldn't give up his playstation though lol x

I think im lucky that my OHs twin brother and his girlfriend had a baby about 6 months ago so we have seen how amazing but hard work its been or them x

How did you go swimming still?

Took baby with me. Will be doing the same this time too. Especially enjoyed the parent/baby sessions.

Swimming with a baby is great! I started lacey swimming at 3 months and now at 4 she can swim unaided!
