Hi guys this is my list that I'm packing in my hospital bag. I haven't packed it yet but have bought everything ready. Will plan to pack it all up within the next two weeks so I'm good to go by 36 weeks. If there is anything I have forgotten or think I'll need please leave comments. thanks :)

lightweight dressing gown
maternity pj's x1
maternity nightdress x2
towel
big black knickers x5
sports bras x2
maternity pads
fluffy socks x2
slippers
joggers, tshirt and cardigan (Home Outfit)

Toiletries

Flannel & shower puff
soap & shower gel
Travel shampoo & conditioner
Travel dry shampoo
pack tissues
Toothbrush/toothpaste
hairbrush & straighteners
deodorant
hand cream & sanitiser
razor
lip balm
handband & bobbles
makeup

I also plan on taking camera, snacks, magazines & money.

For me essential items were a hand held fan and cooling water spray. Oh and breast pads.

You could also consider taking flip flops for the shower x

This was my list. Sounds like you have the majority of it tho :) never used my breast pads.. milk never came in till day 4 i think it was. However if your bf'ing i dont know whether you leak straight away or not. Xx

Cooling spray I might get then. Heard a few people mention this :)

I also took straws and magazines. If you use your straighteners I'll be amazed lol x

I would take some more knickers and another pair of leggings/joggers just in case :)

Someone suggested water wipes to me for cleaning up baby... I'm sure water and cotton wool will do the same but just thought I would suggest it x

I've started getting bits for mine and have received some good tips- lip balm, boiled sweets/lucozade sweets, straws, cooling spray and an eye mask! Xx

I took some witch hazel and canesten cream for my stitches. Worked a treat. Canesten cream is a skin healer for internal use. Witch hazel for mat pad.

Take a sports bottle so you can drink or be fed water easier during labour.

Ipad/books (i was induced plus during the day jackson just slept). Earphones if at night time.

Phone charger

Slippers i always have mine on but ive heard some girls feet swell and the shoes dont go on for going home..

Id take a few more pj bottoms as i went through 4 in a day.

Wipes

Moisturiser my hosp was very dry, i felt i needed mine.

I think thats about all i had extra that you dont. A few more things the girls have says, nipple cream and pads, cooling spray. I took a wee hand held fan. Make sure you have change for the vending machines.

I took my straighteners, i blow dried and straightened my hair and put some bb cream on. Felt great. Jackson slept during the day and i didnt sleep, i couldnt.

Good luck xxx

Some people suggest anti bacterial wipes in case the shower isn't the cleanest!

I've bought water wipes to use instead of cotton wool and water. I'll put them in his hospital bag. :) think they're great!

Oooh really? Do u know how much? I originally bought a couple of packs from boots and they were £2.50 each.

Do people actually wash and do their hair in hospital ?!?!
Oh yeah, most definitely washed! As soon as I was able to get up out of bed I showered and washed my hair, even put some make up on!
Labour is messy business lol
