Hey people :)

Where do the days go? Actually been busy this week with various appointments. Yesterday was a busy one for Harry, poor little baba. We had a weigh in at the clinic - 12lbs 9oz! He's getting to be quite a lump! (a lovely lump of course :) ) Am already struggling to lift him a bit - can't imagine how I'll be when he's even bigger!

Then he had to have his 2nd lot of jabs :( Poor little thing was exhausted and was sleeping when I got him to the nurse, but she told me I had to wake him up first. It was horrible of course and he screamed so loud my mum could hear him in the waiting room :( I managed to calm him down after by feeding him and then he slept lots. He was really grouchy and tired the whole evening and just seemed absolutely worn out! He slept well last night too. Hopefully there won't be any worse effects over the next couple of days...

Also, he seems to be trying to laugh! It's only snippets every so often and I'm not 100% certain, but yesterday when the health visitor was checking him out he was all smiles and seemed to let out a little chuckle, which she said was a little laugh :D Can't wait to hear him laugh properly!!

Today I'm off to London to have another test as the neurology hospital that I couldn't have when I was pregnant. I'm really hoping it will help me get a proper diagnosis so I can start getting help for my health issues...

Happy Wednesday everyone :) xxx

Why did they have to wake him? I'm not looking forward to ollie's in a couple of weeks. How us the feeding going?

I hope the neurology appt is useful, getting those tests and a step towards an answer will be a huge weight off I'm sure! Xx

Hi hon - I guess we had to wake him as it would be even worse to be woken up by having a needle stuck in you!! The jabs haven't been too terrible and Harry has been mostly fine but I always get quite stressed before hand. Next time it's 3 jabs in one day!

I cut out one feed yesterday and boobs have been pretty full but hopefully it will be alright. Just gonna take it really slow, so touch wood it will work this time...

Yeah, hope the test is useful, but potentially have to wait until April for the results unless I can get a cancellation! Oh well.

Hope you're well hon, will try and catch up on your journal very soon, though got to feed Harry in in a mo as he's just woken up... Hugs xxx

I'm dreading jab time, the heel prick was bad enough!

Harry sounds like he's doing well & gaining weight. Lets hope these tests will show something up for u & they can do something for u.

Xx

Well, my health has been really poo these last few days - hoping I've turned a corner now as it's been really horrible :(

Harry has been quite grouchy these last few days and is also sleeping lots, plus dribbling and chewing frantically on his hand. He's either teething or going throigh his 12 week leap, poor thing. He really screams at times too! Hope it won't last too long anyway...

But inbetween the difficult times, there are happy moments too. Yesterday was so nice as I laughed at Harry smiling while I was holding him and I swear he laughed back!! Even though I feel crap he still manages to make me laugh :D Like when I give him his dummy and he carries on trying to 'talk' with his mouth full! Or when I blow raspberries on his tummy and waves his arms and legs around and gets all excited :) Or even the faces and noises he makes when he's doing a poo! It's like he has to stop and think about it and then... push!!!

As for breastfeeding, well 4 days in and I've cut out 1 feed, hopefully successfully. In a few days time I'll try and cut out another, so touch wood I can actually do it this time. Still feel like my boob thrush hasn't entirely gone, but it's much better and I've got another week of anti fungals. Really hope it's gone by then!

Think that's it for now... xxx

Hi hun,

Sorry to hear you've been feeling pants, hopefully you'll get some respite now!

April may seem like forever away but if you finally get a diagnosis then it will be worth it.

It could be teething, also it could well be his 12 week leap.

James had this leap early (as he was 9 days late he will have his leaps a week early anyway but he had it even earlier than 11 weeks)

The next leap is about 17 weeks BUT there is a stormy period that can last 14.5 - 19.5 weeks

If Harry comes out of it pretty soon then it was the leap if not you may want to invest in some teething gel / powder!

xxxxxxxxxx

It's so nice he can keep u smiling hun, try to keep ure chin up & soon enough u can hopefully get some answers.

Xx

Harry had his first proper laugh today!! :D :D It was brilliant! I'm staying at my parents and we had just had dinner so we were all sitting at the dinner table. DH was holding Harry and playing a little game with him and he was smilng lots and then he laughed! He did it a few times and it cracked us all up!! It was so lovely :D :D

I've also cut down another feed today, so touch wood it will be ok. So far, I've only cut out feeds from the boob that produces less milk - they're gonna have to call me Lopsided Lil for a while, but if it means I dont get mastitis etc then I guess I'm ok with that. Just gonna take it slow...

 that you had a laugh! That's amazing, can't wait for Ollie's! Xxx

James laughed a few days ago, I'd had such a crappy day (nothing baby wise mind!) and it made everything worthwhile

He won't do it on command though ha ha!

Ah, glad you had a laugh too :) Like you say, makes it all worthwhile! I'm sure they'll start laughing more and more as they get the hang of it xxx

Happy 3 months my beautiful Harry!

In your short life you have already achieved so much and your little personality has started to appear :)
You breast fed like a pro right from the start
First you found your grump, then you found your smile and now your laugh!
You've found your hands and also your mouth, but so far haven't noticed your feet!
You poke your tongue out at me, coo and make all manner of funny faces and noises
You like your baths but not getting dressed afterwards!
I think you like it when I sing to you - at least you seem to...
You like it when I blow raspberries on your tummy
You like sleeping on my lap, but not so much in your bed
You like having your bum changed and often that will cheer you up, funny little man!
You like being held and carried around the house, looking at everything
You are a constant source of joy to all those around you and you're my little ray of sunshine
I love you more and more each day and can't wait to see what the next 3 months bring!
I love you Harry, love from mummy

Happy 3 months Harry!

How nice he's started laughing, I think Ava is smiling sometimes, she does it after her feed wen she's all content.

Xx
