My gorgeous munchkin Harry :) My body finally did something right!!!

Well, my boob thrush seems to be on the way out touch wood so that's something :) Still carrying on bf-ing for now - hopefully until Harry's 3 months old I think.

This week has been not too bad. Managed to get to an under 1s group which was good, although Harry is still a bit young to appreciate it. Still, in a few weeks time, hopefully he will enjoy it more... Also met up with quite a few of the mums and their babies from the ante natal class I went to, which was really nice. It felt good to do some social stuff for a change and meet some other mums...

Harry has baby eczema unfortunately, although it's not bothering him at the moment. We have to rub him in aqueous cream before bathing and then E45 after. Hopefully it's something he'll grow out of...

That's it really, but wanted to post this beautiful pic DH took of Harry smiling last night - love it so much!! :D

Yeah, get the baby pics out Nat! :) xxx

I'm waiting for James to laugh too!

He smiles loads (proper gummy 'whole face lighting up' smiles), he chatters loads as well but no actual laughs yet.

Hi Ceebee, how are you doing, I bet he changes every day.Hope that you are getting into a routine of things and finding time for some naps!

Hi ladies :)

Haven't been on here much lately as am at my parents... It's been really great to get some help and be able to nap int he afternoons, so definitely helping me to cope better. Don't know what will happen long term, but hoping things may improve before too long one way or another.I guess I'm lucky I have such supportive parents...

Harry is doing well, though is really such a cry baby! I'm sure he cries more than most babies :/. I went to an under 1s group on Tues and Harry was the only one who cried! My mum says I was even worse as a baby so I guess I'm getting my just desserts lol:) hopefully he'll grow out of it soon. Can't believe he's 10 weeks today!!

I'm also taking fluconozole for my boob thrush as it's being very stubborn. Hope it buggers off soon...

Anyway, hope you lovely ladies are fine and will try catch up with journals and stuff very soon xxx

Hey hun,

Sorry the boob thrush hasn't cleared up!

James' thrush is still there so we're seeing HV tomorrow (if she can fit us in, it's a walk-in clinic) also James has cradle cap. He is such a crusty little thing at the moment

I am sure all babies cry hun, some are just better behaved in public LOL!

Lol, Harry is crusty too as he has cradle cap and eczema! Gotta love our crusty babies  xxx

Got a few minutes to type I reckon before Harry gets into a grump - he's on the play gym right now occupying himself but he usually gets bored after a while and wants attention. It's great that he CAN occupy himself now a bit tho!

He's still a grumpster lot of the time but his happy half hours seem to be when he's not too tired, after he's been fed and lying on his back on his play mat/changing mat. But then the grizzle starts not long after lol! Actually it's just started but my dad has taken over for a little while...

I love the times when he's all smiley and he's started making cooing noises that sound a bit like 'eh-oh' (hello!) but we're probably just imagining it sounds like real words :D

So, I'm spending most of my time at my parents right now - sort of semi moved in with them really. It's helping quite a bit, though I still don't seem to have much time to do things. At least I'm managing to get out for a walk every day and having a good sleep in the afternoons, so I guess that's where the time goes... My DH is sleeping here a few nights a week too, though he likes to get back to his own bed from time to time. It's not an ideal situation but hopefully it's just temporary...

Anyway, not much else to report that I can think of right now.... (My dad is currently rocking Harry is his arms to try and make the little grumpy man sleep so hope it works so we can have a peaceful lunch lol!)

It's fab that you have such brilliant suport from your folks. Harry is clearly thriving and you sound a lot more positive. I'm sure it's hard being away from DH but soon it will be easier and you'll all be back together  xx

You do what you need to do at the moment hun, if that is being at your parents then go for it.

That's what parents are for and I bet they love seeing so much of Harry

Hi Ceebee, How lovely that your parents are being so fabulous. I always think that those first 6 months are so full of sleeplessness and every moment is filled with meeting babies needs that youve just got to get through it and everybody being alive and well at the end of it is a great acheivement.

Hope that his little personality thrives as he matures a bit and his grumpiness will pass.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend bake your mum and dad a cake they sound fab!
x Daisy

Thanks ladies :) yeah, mum and dad are fab and really enjoying spending lots of time with their grandson too :)

Harry has had a happier day today, which is really nice :). He hardly grumped at all! Hopefully this is the start of things to come... He's definitely getting more interested in what's going on around him, although his attention span is pretty short lol. Can't believe he's 11 weeks today - he's getting to be such a big boy!

Unfortunately my boob thrush is still there, despite me taking nearly 10 days of fluconozole :( Saw the gp today and he's given me another 2 weeks worth so really hope that clears it up!

Anyway, feed and then bath time beckons, so better leave it there... xxx

That thrush is proving stubborn! you poor thing, hope it goes soon! 11 weeks, wow time is flying! you are doing so well hun, i know you still have to try and work out the feeding issues, I don't envy you that decision as you have done so well to get to this point breast feeding. You've given him the best start you can, so if you can start to reduce your feeds and not get breast problems he'll be fine but I understand totally how yo'll feel that you miss it. It does take a huge toll on the body though, so if its making you suffer and potentially affecting how you can interact or be with Harry by affecting your health, its the right time to start ot make that change. Big hugs xxx

Thanks Emma :) Yeah, hopefully boob thrush will bugger off soon! It's pretty painful! Thanks for the words of support hon - I'm going to try cutting down bf-ing slowly again starting from next week, just one feed at a time, so I won't have to stop suddenly I hope. I'm making the most of the time I spend feeding Harry now as I'm conscious I may not be doing it for too much longer... Big hugs to you :) xxx

Hun you might find you can get to a point where you can do a morning and evening feed, get the best of both worlds. Xxx

Maybe, but there's some meds I've been holding off taking due to bf-ing so not sure if I can do that... We'll see how I go.... It would be nice to be able to do it for as long as possible xxx
