Hi Girls,

Just got my CD21 results through, they were 29 nmol/L

Anyone know what this means?

Louise B where are you?? Lol!

HCG BFN by the way, can I still be hopeful?

Thanks,

xx

Hey maybe
Did a quick google search & from what I can see it's to do with testosterone levels
xxx

Hi hun, sorry to hear about the BFN, not sure whether it can change or not so I can't really answer.

Also about the level of progesterone, I've read some bits and pieces about it but I don't know enough about it to give an opinion hun. I'm surprised the doc didn't explain the results, can you give them a ring and ask?

Hope you're ok hun. x x

So is 29 good or bad....?? Sorry I cant help Maybe......we all know the test can still come up BFP it can still be shy - this was a blood test or urine? Sorry, someone here must be more up on this....LOUISE??

Hi Girls,

I know it's the level of progesterone but I don't know how good the result is?

I've googled and I think it should be ok.

The Doctor's calling me back this afternoon so I'll let you know then.

Thanks for your help.

xx

From what I've seen on google it says it's low, for women aged 20 it's normally around 70 & then by 40 it says it's normally halved but treatment says about using a cream or something to boost it up
Trouble is with google never know whether to trust it or not cos so many sites say didn't things
Hope no one minded me posting the google bit
I hope your doctor can explain better for you hun
xxxx

Dunno about the result but with the BFN implantation might not of happen or the hcg hasnt had chance to rise so i wouldnt worry about that xxx

Just seen a bit that says 16-55 in women is normal
See, 2 sites say different things - naughty
xxx

Thanks Kezzamunster, I'm searching too, I think over 30 is good, I guess 29 should be OK?

xx

I would just say to take everything you read on Google with a pinch (or two) of salt.

There's so many differing opinions out there that it's hard to come to a proper conclusion because everyone is different and we all have our own interpretations of things.

Hopefully it won't be long til your doc rings back! x x

You rang? :oooo:

Sorry, been out today - went for my cd5 and rubella :)

Ok, so i haven't officially got my results about my cd21 yet, although the nurse said it had a note stating "satisfactory" next to the results on my file.

Am i the only one that thinks "satisfactory" sounds middle of the road and not actually good?

Anyway... back to you Maybe :good:

It's pretty hard with all the different units used etc but i think that 29 nmol/L is on the high end of normal, but still ok :)

Also, the longer your cycle the higher you'd expect your reading to be... so someone with a 35 day cycle for example would expect their progesterone results to be higher than those with a 28 day cycle.

What are you averaging out as with your cycle length Maybe?

Hi Louise,

Mmm I would take satisfactory as good, I think?

I'm usually 38 days cycle wise.

I just really hope it's ok as I can't be arsed trying to get any treatment from the docs they annoy me!

xx

It looks like it should be about 25-30 then, so alright :)

Hi Girls,

Well I spoke to the Doc who said I might have OVd or I might not have- thanks for that, really helpful!!

I needed a result of 30 for OV so I just missed it, who knows whether I had it on the right day or not , it was meant to be CD7 but I had it the end of CD8, maybe that affected things?

Anyway I'll have them again next cycle and see if they're any better.

Not really expecting a BFP now based on what I've googled today.

They've told me I need to have a smear too, as that might be the cause of the spotting.

Well there's another TTC disaster, to add to our long list in November!!

Thank god it's December tomorrow!!

xx

Awww big hugs Maybe!!

I can't really comment on any of the above as I have gotten completely lost in everything!! Its all so confusing lol!!

xxx

So Maybe what does that mean re your positive OPK's? What does getting the surge mean?
Sorry it's such pants news hun, what a sh1te month November has been :-(
x

Thanks Linx and Miss J!
