Mmm, contraception?

I'd have thought the implant would be a no go?!!! It has more hormones in it than the mirena coil.
I had the implant removed due to hormones, and was still advised on the mirena coil.
She spoke me through the copper coil too. She did say it can make periods longer by a day or 2. Or it might have no affect at all.xxx

I'm thinking of maybe having a coil? gahhh so dunno what to do!!

Well I have the mirena, and so far so good. Can get the copper one, no hormones at all. And she told me the coil is the best if your going to want another baby in a few years.xxx

im getting the copper coil as i react badly to hormones plus im hoping it will help with weight loss after the baby as i pile on weight with the pill and im big so don't want to risk it making me worse. my friend was on weight watchers and looking weight in the two month she has had the implant she has gained a stone while sticking to the diet! xx

I'd never get the implant again. I gained weight too... But the hormones was just too much. I am fine on the pill... But having the implant was a rollercoaster 8 months. I would never have believed it could affect someone so much if I hadn't experienced it myself. My friend had it in for a year and bled constantly was making her ill...xx
