Milk Intake at 11 Months

She's rubbish - I'd give her it with a kebab if I thought she'd have a bit more. She dropped nearly all her milk about 10 months. I'll be giving her a bottle of cow milk till she's Em's age to get a bit down her....

What are those baby milkshakes ive seen in Boots? Would she drink them?

Good thinking B-Man....I hadnt thought of flavouring it. I'll have a squizz at them :good:

I dont think Brooke is old enough for them but im sure Heebs is, they look scrummy lol

Well i have a milk monster! Niamh is almost 1, she still has about 5 8oz bottles and sometimes we have to feed her twice in the night. Its mainly because she struggles with solids but i wish she'd stop the night feeds.
Lisa if she's still having 2 feeds a night when she's 2! i think i'll run off!!

Tyler is coming up 11 months soon and he has 2 x 6oz bottles x

Lottie is 7 months now, and just recently she's gone from 4 5/6 oz bottles a day to me struggling to get her to drink 3. She's ok with morning and evening but now refuses 11am one (that's okay, she's bound to drop one feed now she's eating 3 meals a day) but has started refusing the 3pm one too!

Lisa... you said earlier that Hebe wasn't a big milk drinker... can you possibly remember what age she dropped from 4 to 3 bottles and then 3 to 2 bottles? and roughly how many oz would she take in them? Cos if she's simialr to Lottie then I wont worry so much (babies are all so different!!)

Mamafy... you should start writing this manual... you'd make a killing! :D

Thanks lovelies!! x

She was breastfed hun so I cant say exact amounts. She dropped feeds in favour of solids pretty quickly so where she had a BF she'd have solids. Then she started to drop her afternoon feed and by 9/10 months she was having 1 wake up feed and one before bed and not asking for any others. When I first fell pregnant I switched her evening feed to a 9oz bottle because I was so sensitive. She carried on having a very short feed when she woke till about 11 months then she started to drop that and now she just has the 9oz ish of regular cows milk before bed :)

Apologies... I should have realised she was breastfed! (long day!) :flower:

But that's very helpful hun, as I can see Hebe went longer than Lottie seems to be on 3 milk feeds, I think I'd feel better about it if Lottie was about 9 months, but 7 months I think is too young to only have 2 bottles a day. I'm hoping it's teething or a phase and she'll be back on her afternoon bottle as normal soon!

Thanks for your response! x

Could be teething hun. Is she doing well with solids? Hebe took to them like a pro....in fact I swear she looked at me as if to say 'Thank goodness! I was ready for that for that mother!'

Sorry for delay in response.. was away for weekend with no internet access!

We've been thinking it might be teething, but I can't see any coming.. so wondering if this is going to go on for a while. She has two bottom ones, so perhaps some more are on the way!

Lottie loves her food... in particular her vegetables! Or anything with veggies! She eats a very healthy amount (about 150ml worth of meat/fish with veg and then either some fruit or some yoghurt). I know what you mean about that look :D I think Lottie was getting bored with her bottles, in fact now she trys to make bottle drinking more exciting by leaning back so far she's almost upside down/falling off my lap! silly child!

Does anyone elses child love being upside down? I think Lottie must have been a bat in previous life! Any chance she gets to see the world upside down she'll take it!

Thanks for you advice Lisa... much appreciated! :flower:

Ollie has 6oz in the morning and 6oz before bed, never been the world's biggest milk drinker lol! x

My son is 18 months now but still has 26 oz per day hers a real milk lover lol
