I have just had a quick look for places we could meet, but not too sure what we want.
Pudsey park looks nice and has a little animal bit
suggestions?

Roundhay's lovely and has Tropical World - butterfly house type thing very cheap entry and little cafes if it rains.

Clicky

There's a link at the top for tropical world

Just an idea?

How about Roundhay Park???

Roundhay Park and Canal Gardens
The Park is approx 700 acres of parkland, lakes and woodland and includes scented gardens for the blind, National Plant Collections, Canal Gardens and Tropical World.

Tropical World
Tropical world is one of the UK's most popular garden tourist attractions and home to the largest collection of tropical plants outside Kew Gardens. Visit one of its many themed areas, such as the 'Amazon Rainforest' or the Butterfly House with exotic species of butterfly and moth.

Opening Times:
10:00 am until dusk daily (extended hours over the Christmas period)

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tropical World offers full access for disabled people.

Canal Gardens
Adjacent to Tropical World is Canal Gardens. Surrounded by a high wall, it is a sheltered sun trap, and the perfect environment for several major flower collections, including the North of England National Rose Society trial grounds, the National Collection of Dahlias and the National Collection of Violas. There is a cafe, easy access to the vast Tropical World conservatory and a display of Christmas lights (beginning two weeks before Christmas and continuing for a fortnight afterwards).

But it may be a little cool for a park by the time we have organised it and saved up for it? In that case i dont have many other ideas at the mo!?X

yep Roundhay park is lovely - I can walk to Roundhay park from my house ;)

Word of warning...Robbie Williams is playing in Roundhay park next month...thing it's something like 9th Sept...so it's gonna be a wee bit chaotic around that time. When are we thinking of having the meet?

(btw it goes without saying that i'll be there) :)

ETA: I'm quite happy to pick people up from the train station, it's only 10 mins in car...just call me joe le taxi lol. (or xena le taxi as the case may be ;) )

have you? well done you! it said on radio aire that they were sold out within 90 minutes of going on sale! u must've been quick!

I'm not bothered about the concert as I'm 100% sure I'll hear every bit of it from my house lol. My mam lives in Shadwell, and I remember hearing the Michael Jackson concert several years back sooo clearly from her garden. I'm much closer to Roundhay Park than she is, so I'm convinced I'll hear the concert pretty well. Plus I'm not a big robbie fan anyway lol.

Im on honey moon 23-30 sept so please not those dates!!!!!
We need a little time for people to save up and get organised, so how about 2nd week of Oct???
