Sorry to hear this, try to stay positive still though. My old manager had this when she was pregnant and it was fine and she went on to have a healthy baby girl.

Fingers crossed all will be ok, sending you positive vibes and best wishes xxx

please let us know how you get on xx

Sorry to hear that Gn. Hope your doctor gets back to you soon and the bleeding stops. X

that’s a relief. It is such a worrying tone.

no one has ever told me how worrying and stressful TTC and the first trimester is, until we started trying at the end of March I had no idea all the factors that you have to take into account, I had never even heard of the luteal phase or a chemical pregnancy!

I didn’t start using OPK until the 5th cycle of TTC, and that’s when I realised the apps were wrong for me. I have a 25 day cycle so the app said I would ovulate on cycle day 11, I actually ovulate on cycle day 17!!
so only have an 8 day luteal phase, I feel very lucky that I got pregnant on the second time with the OPK’s.

I never knew how complicated it all could be, been interesting finding everything out. but now I just want to skip this step and get to the second trimester!

I was the same with my first. I used an app as well but when I started using OPKs I realised I ovulate on day 20 roughly. It's mad how different everyone's cycles can be!

Haven’t been on much been a busy few days getting prepared for my daughter going to school.

I got myself into a bit of a state this morning I put new underwear on (pink) last night and woke up went to the toliet and wiped obviously see pink on the tissue stood there and thought oh god no it’s happening again stood there for another few mins constantly wiping to make sure there wasn’t anymore. In that moment my heart just sunk :( thankfully it wasn’t blood x praying this baby stays x

Oh no! Now you know, don’t wear new pink underwear for the next couple of months! So glad it wasn’t blood, I can imagine how stressed you felt.

I am going away with my family tomorrow, they already know but my Gran is coming so I am going to tell her, but I just worry of anything goes wrong it will make her very sad.

But fingers crossed for us all and thinking positive thoughts <3<3<3

I started feeling pretty rough the past couple of days.
Tiredness took on a whole new level, and the aches and pains are pretty consistent.
I saw someone describe it as feeling hungover, and it does just feel like I have a really crappy hangover
Not feeling great right now

Oh @Star_girl I'm sure you got a fright. I'm so glad everything's ok and baby's still snug in there. I had some pretty bad cramps this morning after two days without them so I was panicking a little and was scared to go to the loo. First trimester is such an anxious time.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling great @JoJo19. I know what you mean with the hangover thing. I'm 6 weeks today and I just feel... Bleugh. I don't particularly feel nauseous yet but I just don't feel right. The nausea started when I was 6 weeks with my daughter so it can't be far away.

@Gn2020 thinking of you hun x

Bleugh is exactly how I would describe it. I didn’t know what to expect.. but it wasn’t this haha.

here’s hoping times goes by quickly to our 12 week scans <3

Im definitely staying away from the pink &red nickers for now :D

5+3 the sickness seems to have started this morning x

Hello everyone! I got my BFP today so thought I'd set up the first trimester thread for May 2021 mummies where we can share our experiences with symptoms, appointments, pains and more. :)

I found this forum in 2017 when I was pregnant with my daughter and I met lots of lovely ladies who I'm still in touch with. It would be great to have something similar second time around too.

Using the date of my last period, my due date comes out as the 30th of April, which I think is what the midwife will tell me when I see her, but my cycles are usually 31 days and calculators that take that into account say the 2nd of May. I went over with my daughter so I think I'll go in the middle with the 1st of May!

Let me know your due dates and I'll add you to the list. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months for us all! :yellow:

Hello, this is my first time posting, I’m due on the 9th of May, it will be my first baby, and me and my partner were ttc for 9 months, I’ve taken about 10 tests because I still don’t believe it’s finally happening!! No symptoms at all other than missed period. Freaking out and don’t know who to tell/ do I need to phone the doctors? Haha
Much love to all xxx

Welcome @Ailis and congratulations! It's great to have you in May Mummies :) You're not alone in taking a million tests to believe it!

I think what you need to so now depends on where you live. Some people phone their doctor or their doctors surgery to be referred to the midwife and I think others can self-refer, but I'm not sure how that works. I've booked a telephone appointment with my doctor for Monday so she can tell me what to do next as this is my second but I'm living in a different area this time round.

Give your doctors a phone and they'll be able to tell you how things work where you are.

Great thank you for your help! I will phone the doctors tomorrow if I can get through, they’re not open on weekends and I imagine Monday mornings are very busy.
Eeeeeek it’s starting to feel more real now, been feeling nauseous this morning and it’s the first time in my life I’ve been happy to feel sick haha @JoJo19 thank you 8 weeks is so soon how exciting
Xxx

Hi, congratulations and welcome! I've added your due date to the front page. Have you had any symptoms so far?

So my telephone appointment with my doctor was 2.5 hours late! Doesn't matter if they phone you or you have to go in, doctors are always late! Anyway, she's referred me to the midwife who's going to phone me tomorrow to book an appointment. Seems like a lot of phone calls just to finally book an appointment and see someone! This pandemic is playing havoc with everything.

I’ve just started spotting 5+5
I’m heartbroken :(

Oh Star_girl. Try not to panic and give the EPU a call as Zoe_helen said. Have you had sex recently? That can irritate the cervix.

Sending positive thoughts your way x
