May 2017 Mummies *NEW*

I haven't had any sickness yet. My moods in the evening haven't been great. I work with challenging kids and my patients is thinner than usual. Not to mention the heat and frequent urination. Getting to work is what kills me- pee 3 times before I leave and then 15 mins into my hour commute I have to go again, and I hate paying to use shitty loos at stations. And to top off this term, we have Osted coming.

I didn't know that it doesn't count towards absence record. That's good to know xx

The doctor can say something else on the sick note but would feel bad when it's finally revealed. I take small groups of children out of class for reading or additional work. There wouldn't necessarily be someone around for me to ask to cover me.
I had horrendous sickness last pregnancy and ended up in hospital on fluids, they mentioned HG. Will go in as much as I can but it's a struggle already xx

My friend was like you and had to have 3 weeks or more off work, I would tell them, I can't see any reason not to? Plus any pregnancy related illness you are entitled to leave and it's not allowed to be counted as sick leave.. My friend checked this with citizens advice because they were trying to give her a formal warning for being off sick!!! They can't do that! It's discrimination of being pregnant! It's not an illness xx

I would tell them and get your doctor to back it up with a note( not sure if you still need one if it does not go on your sick record)

Sorry u are feeling so rotten

Lou X

I told my work, it's better for me and baby, I won't get put in situations that are risky or things I shouldn't be doing X plus I was supposed to work Monday but as soon as I explained that I was bleeding etc they totally understood and told me not to go in X

Yea on 3 of my 4 mcs I had to have weeks off work and they can't count that either. I even think my heart issues fell into the pregnancy clause because it started when I was pregnant even though it continued for months after i miscarried. Must admit my new place of work have been great. My last place drove me out for being pregnant it was awful. The guilt my line manager tried to lay on me and some of the things they did I'm sure we're illegal but it was my first time and I didn't know half the things I know now.

Just one eg of my previous employer... they refused to let me go to ANY antenatal classes the first time I visited the hospital I was to give birth in was when I was in labour and I had no idea what to expect about ANYTHING! I didnt even know where to go! Fortunately everything went to my birth plan. But geez before I went in there I was so scared!

Evening all :) Are there any oldies having their first? I'm 36!!! and this will (fingers and toes crossed) be my first. Doctor already scaring me with age horror stories! Eek

Those of you who were taking coq10 are you still taking it? I've been taking mine out of habit and am not sure when to stop.

I'd stop taking it Hun. I have a nutrition and fitness business and emailed head office the other day about which supplements I can still take q10 was a No no. Fish oils, vit d and b6&12 are essential and folic acid of course. I also take Royal jelly as its good for hormones and a probiotic xx

I told my manager this week. I haven't been feeling great but I also fainted once with my first and I thought it'd be safer if she knew.

I got my hcg level results. It was 62504. The test was taken on Monday when by ovulation I was 6w 6 days. I haven't had the test before, I don't really know what that means?

I told my work I work in a pre school and we are a pack away setting so I can't lift the heavy stuff so had to tell them really just incase!

I have had to call in today as can't keep anything down and just feel awful. Going to call the doctor too xx

Aww hun, sorry you're feeling so sick.

Definitely call the doctor. There's no need to struggle with it like this. Hopefully they can give you something to help.

XX

Lisey I'll speak to my midwife friend she's pregnant with twins and was on a strong anti sickness.

I'll ask what it was and let you know.

Xx

Have been to the doctors, he has given me sickness tabs. He said its far better for the baby to take them, than to keep being sick. I have to take my first one tonight before bed xx
