May 2017 Mummies *NEW*

Hope it doesn't get worse kabuki and that you are feeling better soon xx

Hope your better soon. x x x

It's weird I can't keep water down at all!

I was the same with water ery, any little drop would come back up. Even when I drunk it now, I feel it there for ages if you know what I mean. Takes a while to settle, no sudden movements after I drink it xx

Yep I know that feeling! I've found I can keep more fluids down if I have a mint after drinking. It almost feels like my tummy is full of oil and a lot of drinks sit on top of it then have to come back up rather than stay down. Sometimes having a mint or a few crisps allows it to stay down.

im the same as you Snowbee, ive not been sick but ive had the nausea!

and food, some days im starving and can eat anything other days the thought of food makes me feel worse. i have been living of salted crisps the past few days only thing that stops me feeling sick and starts making me feel hungry.

anyone else really spotty? i never get spots i get one around the time AF is due but i have loads! and really dry skin, cant even put make up on as its making them worse! x

That is a good description ery, its the same with food too sometimes. I have to sit really still for a while after eating otherwise I know I will see it again.
I am finding I am having some days where I don't feel as bad but then having awful days too. Still have nausea pretty much all the time. I feel pretty weak most of the time still and so emotional lately xx

i think a doppler would make me worry more - i would constantly be checking, i cant wait to feel it wriggle so i know everything is okay in there

I'm simular I'm getting about 2 days of relief for every 5 days of ickiness! Yea I sometimes get it with food too. Less so though. I'm finding I have narrow time frames which are "eating times" but if this leads to a happy healthy baby it's worth it. X I'm getting do nervous for my next scan now lol. Is it bad I'm scared coz my husband is coming not my mum. Lol she's been a good luck charm for me lol.

OMG i need one of these for when i start to feel better, altho im craving salty things not sweet!

Well that's a new one

TMI ALERT!!!!!!!!

just threw up mid pee. and it made me poop. what the hell lol I've never been more confused in my life. Not to mention I don't think I've had as many things gs exit my body in one go especially if you add in the compulsory tears and runny nose of being sick!

hahah well done Ery!! im glad im not being sick all the time!

im thinking of ways to announce to my OH daughters that they are going to be a big sister, one is 12 and one is 19 i dont know how they will take it or anything

That sounds awful Ery. Hope that experience doesn't present itself again.

I just decided on a phone chat with GP instead of heading in. It seems that the symptoms have reduced to just a cold, so just checked on what I can take. I think I'll stick to just temping twice a day to make sure there is no fever and continue drinking hot tea with honey or hot water with lemon and honey. I don't think I'll be moving from this couch much today. Body aches have seemed to go away, just a sore throat, slight cough, running/stuffy nose and overall fatigue. I have to curl up into a ball to blow my nose and cough. At least I slept through the night last night. The first time in a few nights. It felt good.

Boy this is sucky timing. I was just starting to feel better and though that if all was well at my scan tomorrow that I'd go back to crossfit (of course lowering the weights and my tempo). I really miss working out. But I think my workout on Sunday morning (a 10 min row and then a slow, casual 800m swim taking rests every few laps) fatigued my body just enough to let this bloody cold in, well that combined with the hotel room that was too hot and then being moved between really hot and really chilly rooms in the hotel as they changed the multiple purpose room 3 times (ceremony/dinner/dance).

Anyway, enough of my rant. Just one more sleep. This time tomorrow I'll be in the waiting room awaiting my 11:30 scan! No logical reason to be worried, but I'm a little nervous about the results of the combined tests.

i ended up pulling all the muscles in my tummy from coughing and a very dry Rudolph nose from blowing it constantly x

That sounds awful. I'm not as bad as that, but it's still bad enough. The thing is I rarely get colds, but when I do I always worry about a sinus infection. I normally use sinusitis nasal spray to help prevent that from coming on, but can't now. I just have to hope I don't develop one. I guess it's an excuse for a few steamy showers!

Now that I'm home, I'm sleeping better, and I'm so thankful for that. The two nights in the hotel were hell, waking every 1.5-2 hours. I felt so bad having to bail early on my best friend's wedding. I was so excited about it, but just couldn't make it through the night. I'm sure she'll completely understand tomorrow when she's given the news!

oh best friends always understand!

nothing better than being home in your own bed when your poorly, wishing you a speedy recovery xx

Oh bless you two x yea I hope it doesn't happen again lmao it was most unexpected thought I'd auditioned for a bit role on the exorcist! Lol P.S. if these are "easy pealers" hate to think what "hard pealers" are like lol
