Snowbee- My diet has gone to hell since week 5. I had a fab high protein diet, all carbs in morning and afternoon and never ate junk. Now I'm all about carbs. Potatoes and me don't usually get on, but I have been eating chips and crisps. I even started eating pizza regularly, although I did try to alway buy the healthiest options. The only thing I miss is coffee. I can't even stand the smell of it. I'm hoping I can get my diet back on track during the 2nd trimester. I struggled all weekend with food because most of the options at the hotel for breakfast I could eat- completely gone off eggs & really wanted french toast, but no luck. Then the meal for the wedding was ordered months ago, so I half ate the food, except for dessert, the toffee sticky pudding was delightful!
We really wanted to tell m in-laws in person, but flights are too expensive for a last minute trip, and with the long drive from the airport to their place, I just can face that car ride, not for just a weekend. And I'm not waiting until xmas, so we are going to skype them after the scan.
I do have a small bump now. Whilst I still do get some bloating, the bump is now there without the bloat. The dress I bought for the wedding this weekend was a size up to allow for bloat on top of the bump and to hide the bump a bit. I'm still good with my low-rise jeans, but my mid-rise trouser have to be unbuttoned, especially when sitting down.
Only 2 more sleeps! Listened to the hb as soon as I got home today. It really helped after that long uncomfortable journey with a diversion to make it even longer. I still can't believe how easy it is to find.
I'm still working on my DW as she doesn't want to find out the gender. I really want to know. I like to plan and I want to be able to refer the baby as he or she.
Looking forward to hearing about how everyone else gets on after their scans. I can't wait to hear what everyone is having. That 2nd trimester is creeping ever closer! Bring it on!
