I like the silvercross surf but you buy a lot of stuff separately it seems.
I have been eyeing up the blanket from before I even got bfp, love it and got a free swaddle blanket too. Love an extra :) xx

Thats handy that you still have yours ery, I obviously don't have anything from last time as was so long ago. I do have some of his little shoes but thats just because they look so cute and couldn't part with them xx

I was just so convinced I wanted a second I couldn't bare throw out the baby stuff! Anything I thought would be useful I kept do thankfully I still have lots of baby sleeping bags which were blooming fantastic last time and I highly recommend them!

I've been looking at prams and cots. I'm liking the look of the Silver Cross Wayfarer and the cot I like is also Silver Cross.

My brother and sister in law have said that we can borrow their moses basket, so will just need a new mattress and their baby bath. They also have a car seat that we could potentially borrow but not sure it would be compatible with the pram I like.

I like that pram too Rachel. I want a travel system with car seat but don't understand this whole isofic thing. Need to look into that. I can't wait to get shopping xx

Lisey, Mothercare have the pram in a colour exclusive to them which I really like. The OH is like "how much?" but he'll come round to the idea! Neither can I. I'm going to start buying a little bit every month after my scan on Friday!

Isofix is something a lot if modern cars have in them nowadays check your car and it if it isofix compatible it should have a tag on seat stating so. if you do have it then it makes the whole car seat fitting so much easier it reduces incorrectly installed car seats from around 70% to 5% hence why most cars now have it. it just clips into the seat similar to clicking in a seat belt.

Thanks ery. My OHs car has it. Mine doesn't but I need to sell my car and get a new one as it's a mini and I will never fit a pram in the boot!! I love my car so I will probably cry when someone else drives off in it :(
I will have a look on mothercare Rachel. It is pricey and you seem to have to buy extras for it. My in laws are buying the pushchair though so that will help xx

I'm hoping my OH's mum will put something to the pram too. She's pretty generous so I'm thinking she will want to contribute in some way.

I also need to think about getting a new car. I have an Alfa Romeo Mito which is 3 door and I really don't want to be struggling getting the baby into the back of it.

This is my OHs parents first grandchild so they are super excited and offered to buy pram up to value of £1000, so the silvercross is in budget, I want to buy it now lol :)
Mine is 3 door too but its the boot that concerns me, it is tiny. I am not looking forward to the expense of a new car really but has to be done xx

Unfortunately my mum passed away two years ago (it breaks my heart that she's not here for this - we were best friends and she longed to be a grandma) and my dad is useless, so there will be no help from my side of the family.

Oh, Rachel. I am so sorry about your Mum :hugs: xx

lisey that blanket is adorable!

I've been browsing stuff for years! Ho hum... Not chosen anything yet. I'm hoping to have the cot I had as a baby though. We are going to need three car seats, one for my car, one for my husband and one for my work truck so that I would guess is going to be our main expense. I'm also going to need two pram/buggy things (haha that is how clued up I am!), one for 'clean' and one for outside on the farm. I'm not adverse to second hand, especially not for the farm as it will get muddy and smelly (hence wanting a separate one for 'clean'!).

My FIL has loads of my SILs baby stuff in his loft, but it is covered in bat poo and is 20 years old, so don't know if any of it is any good (or if she would let us use it anyway).

This will be the first grandchild on my side of the family. My husband has two older sisters, both with children, although one lot are adults and I wouldn't be surprised if there were great grandchildren for his dad before long.

We literally just bought a new car last week. It has 3 isofix compatible seats which is a bonus as both my kids are in isofix seats already so if I can convince DH we can buy a new seat with isofix base for this one.
I'm a bit of a pramaholic so have had my eye on a new one since well before I got pregnant haha!x
