May 2017 Mummies *NEW*

Happy 13 weeks Emily!

Can someone help me out with what babies actually wear? Any how many of each item would I need if I was only going to wash twice a week? I was thinking of avoiding 'outfits' as they wouldn't be that practical for us.

Cam was a really sicky baby so we went through numerous outfits a day!

I'd say maybe 10-15 sleep suits and vests??

Oh my god I don't actually know??

How in the world did I ever manage to raise my son??!;

Lol!!!

I arrived home to a letter from the hospital yesterday.

They told me on Thursday that if my results were high risk I'd hear from them within 48hours and if low risk 1-2 weeks. Needless to say I shit myself on seeing it!!

They were obviously just being efficient though as everything has come back as low risk.

Haha! So do they wear a vest, then a sleepsuit over the top? Do they need any other clothes? I suppose it depends how warm it is. Do I need cardigans and socks?

Wow that is fast. I was told two weeks, whether low or high. Great news at being low risk :)

If baby is in sleepsuits then they have built in feet so no need for socks.

Layers are the key when it comes to dressing babies so cardigans are a good idea. You need to easily remove a layer if it's warm and add one if it's cold.

Fantastic news Emily and happy 13 weeks!

This is a truly fabulously awesome group! You have helped to keep me relatively sane through this first tri. I can't wait for all of us to move over to tri 2.

We haven't bought anything yet, but two of my sisters are planning on sending some things my way. They both have 6 month old boys, but a lot of the newborn stuff works for both genders. So I think I have lots sleepwear, vest and gnappies coming my way!

I think I'm going to wait for the xmas sales too. I've been perusing nursery furniture, too. But I think we'll do lots of shopping over the xmas break when my in-laws are here.

I've got to do a food shop today so I might buy a little something. Maybe a pack muslins?

I def need to buy some leggings or stretchy clothes! My jeans are way too tight and feeling a bit uncomfortable!

I love it when babies are kept in sleepsuits it's rather than "grown up" clothes but it's all personal preference. My son was also sickie we had to change him about 3x a day.... and that was without the "mega poops" every now and again you open up your little bundle to day "this is a bath jobbie" lol

I want to join in with the buying of items in a few days I may just do that! I think we're going to announce on bonfire night all going well.

Happy 13 weeks Emily and fab that you got your results too xx

Lou, ery said she is going to start the tri 2 thread, if you're still happy to that is ery? Xx

I went through so many clothes a day with my son because he was very sickly too. I will get lots of sleepsuits but I love the little outfits and esp dresses or little tops and leggings so will definitely be getting those too. Super soft stuff though. I can't wait to shop!! I am a shopaholic anyway, love it and love a bargain too, can't wait for sales xx

Yeah I'm still happy to do it if that's OK with everyone? My scan is on Friday I just want to know all is OK first. it's weird I'm not usually superstitious but so scared lol. Oh and if anyone wants so super comfy stretchy cheap non maternity clothes. Check out sainsbury sports and gym collection. They feel soooooo good stretchy but supportive loving them more than my maternity pants right now x

Are they shiny though ery? Sports stuff usually is?
I have maternity leggings from matalan and new look. Oh the relief, I can't wear normal leggings as they sit in between bump and it makes me feel more sick when they do dig in xx
