****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Jessiecat - Hope you are feeling better this morning.

Caseysmummy sorry to hear you are feeling fluey, hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations on V day Elliott

It's snowing here aswell Mayflower, actually hope it stops as I have the osteopath at lunch time and don't want to risk slipping.

I actually saw baby moving this morning :-) When I first woke up she was really wriggling, and I could also feel her with my hand (as you all know only felt her twice from the outside so far) so i wiped the quilt off and lifted my pj top up (incredibly sexy maternity pjs :rotfl::rotfl: !!) and could see her making my belly move :-)

Slept better last night, woke up for 3 wees but back wasn't too painful so got back to sleep fairly quickly each time. (Well maybe took a while at 5am as I unintentionally woke my OH up on the way back from the bathroom and baby was moving, so we were talking about her for a bit before nodding back off.

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Blueeyes - so pleased youve seen and felt movement ! :) I love it and OH is occasionally able to feel it too although often I say ooh feel now and she stops haha

I know mine will be a few days early lol!

Just went for check up at dentist and needed a filling :( & even tho I was a good girl I didn't get a sticker :'(

Yay for V-day Elliot, such a fab milestone!! :)

Blueyes so chuffed you saw movement, amazing seeing your belly move around!

Welllll the prunes worked so thanks ladies for that! hehe albiet they were vile things haha

I have SO much to do today, ive already baked 2 of my orders today and still have bits to pack etc gah!

Thanks Elliott, I still find it so exciting and love it when I feel her moving :-) I talk to her when she's wriggling (I'm not mad honest!)

Oh no Larly, will they do the filling whilst you are pregnant or do you have to wait? I would complain about not getting a sticker ;-)

Thanks Buttonbear, it's so amazing to feel, but also extra amazing to watch :-) I know you don't like the prunes, but they really work!! Perhaps if you need them again you can hide them in something :-)

Is it really sad that I am crossing off the days on my calendar to maternity leave?? and i have highlighted bank holidays and holiday ha ha. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy my job, but as you have all heard me moaning I am feeling quite got at lately which has left me feeling very uncomfortable at work.

xx

Blueeyes, I talk to my baby all the time! My OH talks to her too, I love it.

I am also counting down the days, need to confirm dates with my boss but hoping to finish on 17th April. I am starting to find it hard now. Especially getting up and down off the floor!

We talk to little one too, especially OH in the evening as he is keen on her recognising his voice, how sweet!!

She also LOVES music, had a right good boogie when music starts on the tv etc. Anyone else notice reactions to things?

I was at a 30th party the other weekend, she was wriggling all evening so I am assuming it was a reaction to the loud music.

Apart from that I've not noticed reactions to anything, not even cold drinks.

Girls, I've had such a rough few days. I just feel rubbish :-( I'm so tired, suffering terribly with acid reflux and nothing seems to help. It's so bad at night that I hardly sleep and when I do eventually get to sleep I wake several times with pain in my pelvis/ hips. Turning over in bed is agony. Things always seem worse when tired, I just wish I could get some sleep. Feeling so emotional and run down today. Sorry for the rant :-(

Changing the subject... My little Mr goes crazy with music and always reacts to hubbys voice when he gets in from work. Hubby thinks it's great :-) he's always talking to him, especially at night in bed. It's very sweet.

jen that's rubbish :( sorry that you're feeling so lousy! Tri 3 sounds like it's being pretty cruel to you.
Lots of warm relaxing baths and maybe try a heat pod on your back in the evening? It helps me xx

Jen could you have a day off work where you could try sleep in the day before the acid is bad and just relax, hvae a bath etc? I feel your pain with heartburn its bloody awful!! milky cuppa seems to help me a little with rennies xx

Mayflower and Buttonbear So I am totally normal talking to baby then :-) Boyfriend talks to her too, and we have been playing classical music for her. Haven't noticed certain sounds making her more active, but definitely cold drinks, and when I'm sat relaxed rather than moving about.

Jenb sorry to hear you are suffering so much at the moment. Like Buttonbear has said can you have a day off sick and rest a bit? Feeling shattered makes everything feel worse.

My hearts racing this afternoon, really don't like this feeling it's quite un-nerving, but trying to not let it stress me as had this early on and had an ecg and all was fine. Do you think its just the extra work your body has to do to pump blood around for you and baby?

Had my appointment with the osteopath at lunch time, she said I have inflammation around me SI joint and facet joints in lower back. Got another appointment with her next week, and to take it easy following today's treatment.

xx

Afternoon ladies. Im sorry to hear your feeling so run down jen! You should definitely take the day off to rest you deserve it and need it! I also talk to babies a lot especially when they're wriggling away, I find they respond when I talk to them. I've had a terrible day at work, I was In agony by 10 am and felt like I needed to crawl rather than walk by 2pm. I hobbled to the changing rooms near tears but it's over with til Saturday now and I finish earlier at the weekend. I've come home and got my massage pillow our and got straight into bed. Not sure I'll be getting out again other than to have a bath later. Still feel full of cold and my sinuses hurt so going to have a couple of paracetamol in a sec to ease it off, the heat of the wards didn't help I felt dizzy most of the day as it was so hot. But om happy to be home and resting now. Hope everyone else's day has been better xxx

I can't stop eating today. Had a filling earlier & since I have the feeling back in my mouth I havent stopped eating. Still hungry now :(

Caseysmummy, well done, another day ticked off! Even if it was a toughie! Just rest all night now!
I was thinking earlier, what happens with twins? because a 40 week pregnancy is never realistic is it? So what do they have you aiming for? I seem to think 26 weeks is full term for a twin mummy?

I think im only allowed to go up to 36 weeks as they share a placenta hun it's a risk of it failing after then. My friend told me im super low today so she thinks they will be earlier than 36 weeks. Id like to make it to 33-34 at the earliest just so they have the best chance. There's no real UK info about identical twins on Google, it's all about American health care guidelines and my consultant hasn't gone into much detail. When do consultants start to talk birth plans? Xxx

Yea 34 weeks would be a nice place to get to for twins, they'd still be strong and healthy then. I have no idea about birth plans!! I was thinking earlier Which of us would be first and then it occurred to me I think the odds are swaying your way with twins. It's normal for them to come early though isn't it so the doctors wil be very used to doing this and looking after teeny twins xx

Can I ask what you think to this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Woodland-Nursery-Bedroom-Sticker-Decor/dp/B00CDICWSK/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1423167518&sr=1-1&keywords=Woodland+Tree+Nursery+sticker#customerReviews

This is the one I love, but its way out of budget with OH losing work and us depending on me totally (OK now but not when maternity leave comes) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Woodland-Animal-Nursery-Stickers-Hedgehog/dp/B00APMFM4W/ref=sr_1_20?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1423169205&sr=1-20&keywords=Woodland+Tree+Nursery+sticker

So I'm thinking although the first one isn't the one I have my heart set on, it's still really pretty and a bit different with the coloured animals.

What do you think? I know everyone has different tastes, but it doesn't look like I am being a cheap mummy does it??

xx

Yeah if ive worked it out correctly, I should have them by the 24th of April, I went 9 days over with may son, I am glad I won't have to do that again as I was ready for him and fed up by that point, but I do remember when he was born wishing I coukd put him back so I could keep him safe as I worried about him constantly but as it's so high risk them staying in too long this time, I just want them in my arms so I can keep them safe, feels weird to think like this. I can't wait to see when our babies arrive, I wonder how many will come on date. All my sisters did somehow lol! Xxx
