Morning ladies. Im also suffering blocked nose and dry mouth most mornings, thankfully the cough I had with it is almost gone. Im also finding im constantly waking up to dead arms so I turn over a wake again the other arm dead. Mayflower I once got a present for my son when he was born that I wasn't keen on at all. I tried it on him when we were visiting the person who bought it and he actually looked so cute in it I dressed him in it lots after that, it's surprising whata baby can pull off, it surprised me anyways lol. Im officially back atmosphere work tomorrow, feeling quite nervous how im going to cope with my job although im feeling much better, im worried about putting my body under to much pressure, I've only got just over 3 weeks then I could take my annual leave I have left then I start mat leave early March. Xxx

query about maternity leave. I got told by my manager that she basically wants me to leave end of Feb at the very latest early march. But that would mean I have to take three months of leave before baby is here.
I can understand why she has said this as I. Work with horses, youngsters and racehorses, and I am finding it difficult and I an getting slower. But where do I stand with regards leave as don't want to use really before baby os here

We went to the lakes yesterday with the dog and did what may be our last big walk over there before baby!

Flosi, that doesn't sound right to me. I believe there should be some option for you to be moved to a role that is easier to do while pregnant. Is this possible?

Flosi I don't t think your employer can make you take maternity leave before your choice unless you've veen signed off for a long time during your pregnancy such as if you were signed off with spd from 20 weeks and couldn't get around at all and if you were still going to bea signed off for the foreseeable pregnancy. Then they usually make you take mat leave as you'd be off anyways from 28 weeks from what I've read but if your still working and planned on working until 38 weeks etc they should find you a role in which you can do. The gov website has all your rights as a pregnant employee. Im taking mat leave from 28 weeks due to having twins and they will be born no later than 36 weeks ( lots of ladies ive spoken to have gone into labour naturally around 32-34 weeks). But that's what my choice was, my manager said she would let me take mat leave when I feel like I need to and there was no pressure from that side for me to take it early. Id definitely read up your rights hun as if you don't want to take it that early you don't have to. Xxx

Mayflower your dinner sounded lovely. Hmm I don’t know about the unwanted/unliked gifts, haven’t had that problem yet. Knowing me I would just say thank you and hide them away in a drawer so I didn’t hurt the persons feelings (but I’m too soft for my own good most of the time!)

Flosi great job, but really not sure where you stand with regards to maternity. As Loretta says I think work have to try and find easier alternatives for you, however in your line of work that doesn’t really leave you anything. I know lots of people who work with horses, but again I don’t know of anyone who is pregnant. I can ask at my work, we might have some one who can offer advice – I’ll Pm you so this makes more sense.

Back pain is a little better tonight although was very painful through the night again.

Flosi, I have no idea, but what your manage is suggesting doesn't sound quite right...

I just had a little cry because my house is a fricking mess! I just got back from work, and am knackered. Stuff everywhere, loads of washing to do etc. my partner is cooking me some lunch, and I've decided all this housework can go do one. I've made a decision to watch TV all day! Going to chill. But this mess is Doing my head in. I just don't get how some people can live in a Constant mess.

Flosi- they can advise you but they can't force anything. they are to find you a job that's suitable until you go on maternity (atleast this is what I've read)

There's been a few clothing items that weren't really my choice but I think children can pull off anything. So always put him in it. It would have to be really bad for me to return it. I've only ever had to change it for a sizing issue

Bigbee I'm with you on the mess, im such a neat freak and my house is upside down right now as we are packing and sorting ready for moving next weekend!! ARGGG Can't find a thing!! lol

Im having a day of house work today too. Im down to one room. Then just got to sort out stuff for tomorrow for work as I have to leave for 7 which is going to be a shock to the system. Thank god my morning sickness has gone as it was killing me getting up that early with morning sickness. Im feeling hungry too but can't be bothered either xxx
