It's finally here ladies!!! Our first August baby is on the way! Keep on eye on the first page for updates 
Saturday
12:50pm: Pessary went in at 12:40 and had an examination where mw could get the tip of her finger in the cervix so things are on their way! Got another examination in 4 hours!
4:10pm: Got a lot of pressure in the bottom of bump, which wasn't there before. Contractions in the back and period pains. Bouncing on my ball, got another examination at approx 4:40.
6:25pm: Change of plan, they're not doing another examination until the morning as they don't want to interfere too much. Put me on the monitor to momitor contractions. Definitely feeling them now, getting more intense and feeling them in my lower back and top of bump. Mw said his head is more engaged and I'm progressing well, contractions coming 6 minutes apart.
Sunday
6:35am: No major progress overnight, still contracting every 6 minutes. Mw checked me at 4:20am and haven't been able to get back to sleep since cus of the pain. Exhausted!
5: 00pm: Despite all these contractions only 1cm dilated at lunchtime check. Mw performed a sweep and being checked again at 6:30. Contractions coming every 2 minutes now, extremely intense. Wondering whether it's time for some pain relief. Need to be 2cm or more by next check so they can break my waters, get crossing everything please ladies!
9:20pm: Had another examination, 2cm dilated. He isn't happy so waiting to see if he calms down before we know more. I'm sure everything is fine and he's just a bit spooked by the examination.
10:10pm: Off the trace, bouncing on my ball and getting something to eat. Hb has calmed down so hoping to progress overnight. Might take that sleeping pill they offered!
Monday
10:20am: Contractions stopped overnight, I'm gutted. Got to have the second pessary.
5: 00pm: Had the second pessary at lunchtime with no difference. Have had some contractions but nothing to shout about. Waiting to speak to a doctor but have been waiting for 2 hours already so it'll be a while I think.
10:55pm: Been waiting all day for a doctor, still no sign. Contractions have disappeared altogether and am now just getting braxton hicks. Seriously fed up. Not getting another examination til tomorrow lunchtime.
11:30pm: Spoke to a doctor, they are going to check me at 8am. If I've dilated more they'll break my waters straight away, if not they will section.
Tuesday
8:15am: Have been examined, no change so section it is. Just waiting for a doctor to discuss a time, the procedure, etc. He'll be here today!
11:40am: They just did another examination. Doctor said she really thinks she can break my waters. Going down in 30 mins for an epidural and to go on a hormone drip to get things going. She said he should be here by midnight and if nothing progresses in a couple of hours a section is no problem.
3:20pm: Epidural has gone in, waters have gone and I'm 4cm. Starting hormone drip now.
7: 00pm: Don't have any specific details but progressing well.. Still losing my waters as there was no big gush. Drifting in and out of sleep. Just waiting for them to tell me when to push.
Wednesday
4:45am: (from Kumber) Baby boy arrived at 4:20 this morning! Can imagine Lulu will give more details once she's up to it but he's finally here. Well done Lulu, you did it!!!!
