low iron?

hi guys so im 12 weeks pegnant tomorrow, and recieved my blood results from booking in appointment, and my iron is low. and have been given ferrous fumrate.
is low iron common in pregnancy? does it affect the baby?
i used to be anamic as a teenager. but this my first pregnancy and i dont know what it mean.

Very common and more so if you have a history of anaemia I'm just the same - it's easy to manage on the whole

It is very common The baby will rarely suffer at all and its only Mum who will feel bad
