Low-fat yoghurt in pregnancy can lead to child's asthma?

 could actually be some truth in this one too :-(

I ate nothing but low fat yoghurt during my pregnancy (prefer taste anyway) and Layla has been suffering from hay fever :-( xx

OMG

Stooopid BBC getting us all worried! I'm not gonna be able to stop thinking about that now. I love love love yogurt & i'm one of those ppl who can eat the big massive tubs. I always buy low fat too. Cant remember ever having normal yogurt, of if i've seen any in the shops that isn't low fat.

I'm away off to bed in a huff now

:oooo:

Not convinced TBH
I've always eaten low fat yoghurt and lived on low fat lemon yoghurt for most of my last pregnancy and my little man is absolutely fine.
Next week it'll be something else!!! :)

very true Iriki... just something else for us to feel guilty about :-( xx

Exactly. Woe betide anyone that tells me eating 2 curlywurly's a day is bad for me or baby :)

 better than me ;-) I was on a minimum of two cinnamon & raisin bagels daily AND at least one portion of cheesecake every other day!!! xx

AND curlywurly's aren't actually that calorific either if I remember rightly?! About 115? xx

Not sure Im convinced bout this. Surely the same would go for milk considering its all dairy?

I think there's far more worse things that cause asthma in babies, smoking for instance! The dairy has to be good with all that calcium, all our kids would have it otherwise! Good excuse to eat the full fat creamy ones though!

Aww sorry girls didn't mean to upset anyone! I don't take this article very seriously myself, just thought it was curious

I've made a personal decision that i'm gonna ignore this one - no offence to i.love or any other ladies, I just cant be arsed worrying about anything else, only got 4 and a bit weeks to go, i'm sure if there is any damage its already done.

They will always find things to scare us about, even non-pregnancy related issues, the chances of getting asthma off yogurt wont be as high as living in a densly populated area with lots of traffic - I would even go as far as to say that smoking could be around the same if not slightly worse than the fumes that come off the traffic (but thats another argument)

We do the best we can, and thats all we can do!!

:)

they change all the guidelines whenever they like! I would take everything with a pinch of salt to be honest. I bet our Mums never had half of these guidelines that we "have" to follow these days! xx
