I may be a bit late joining in here, but just incase anyone still interested.

So we went to NZ, the. Stopped in oz for a week before coming back home. 7 1/2 hours to Singapore, then next flight 14 hours from Singapore to heathrow. Just make sure you are well rested before you get on the plane! Emma slept about 7 hours of the flight, but we got hardly any as with turbulence we were having to constantly get her out and back in to basinette.

Yes take any snacks you want. Just make sure any fresh fruit, sandwiches etc are either eaten before you arrive, or left on board. Any packaged stuff is fine. I took water and milk on board. Heathrow and gat wick both have new machines they can put liquids through. No problems at all.

We haven't had to much of a problem with jet lag. We had about 3 days where we were all waking up about 5ish, but we were all tired from all the travelling. So quickly got back to 7pm-7am sleeping. Slightly better than before we went!

Toria111 we are doing a 14hour flight soon just wondered how big the bassinets are and if there is a weight or age limit to them? X

On the flight we did it wasn't a problem with the weight max 14kg but the length being 84cm. I think lo would have done better in there but he is too big for that now! I think my major learning so far is to try and make sure there is a little routine in their life and that each day you do something exclusively for them. Wee man is definitely getting more used to the idea of travel now and different things. I am so proud of him hope your all doing well!
Ps. Make sure you always have enough nappies water and snacks where ever you go!

Sorry for opening up an old thread but it was so good reading all these posts- thank you all so much! Has anyone travelled with a car seat in the seat for their LO? I'm flying to USA soon- seriously thinking about it but would have to buy a new car seat as mine isn't compatible :-(
