What do you guys think of the idea of naming baby after their birthstone, My bubba is due in January therefore would be Garnet I think it's really pretty and love the idea of it being a precious stone. xXx

I like that idea! And, as a Virgo and therefore a Sapphire birthstone, I think it's great!

Some sound good like Pearl, Ruby etc, but others, like Diamond and Topaz sound chav-tastic imo

I love the idea of this as I also love Emerald and Ruby but I do agree Iwouldnt call my child Diamond or topaz....but if you like it go for it....xx

I am a January baby and my only issue with using Garnet as a name is that it sounds a bit like Janet so i think it would cause a bit of confusion every time your child introduced itself

I'm not sure about Garnet, what month was baby concieved? perhaps that is a good stone too?
