i have just found out im pregnant, i have worked out i am 11 weeks from my last period, i done a test weeks ago and it said negative so when i missed my second period i did another and it showed positive.

I was very constipated for ages and felt very backed up, in the last few days i have gone numerous times and feel a bit better. Since i have been able to go i have been having some tummy pains i keep getting a sharp (but not that painful) pain down low in my tummy just under were my hip is really. Its making me very worried.

I have a drs appointment but its on Thursday which was the fist appointment i could get since finding out i was pregnant.

I have been reading online that it can be growing pains ect but im really worried something is wrong.

congrats on ur pregnacy yes it s most likely growning pains x

Its more than likely stretching/growing pains.

Pains are quite normal, its when they are accompanied with lots of bright red blood that u should get it checked out. So I'd say all is fine.

Congrats :) x

Thanks for replying, i am really hoping thats what is it. I think im worrying more as i am a vegetarian and as ive only just found out i obviously haven't taken any vitamins. Do you think i should buy some or wait till my drs appointment on Thursday?

Congratulations on your news! How very lovely - you got to miss most of tri 1!! I envy you!! Your stretching - pains are normal esp after you find out your expecting, your body seems to change within seconds of a positive test! xxx

lol thank you. just hope that every things all right n haven't caused any harm by missing out on all the vitamins and other supliments i should of been taking.

Only my best mate n boyfriend know at the mo, not planning on telling my mum n dad until its been 100% confirmed at my drs appointment on Thursday... so scraed to tell them dont think there going to take it to well even tho il be 26 when the babys here lol

Im sure all will be ok! I was23 when I had my LO, when I told my dad, he went mad - calmed down in a week or so though and to see them together now! He apologised for being so mad with me xxx

Thats nice to hear im hoping they wont take to long to come around because its making me not want to tell them... some how i think they might start to notice soon tho lol

It might be worth ur while taking some vitamins now, try pregnacare or something like it. But really as long as ur taking folic acid ur doing everything right :) X

I haven't been taking anything, when i was first trying to conceive many months ago i started taking folic acid and it compleatly upset my stomach i suffer with IBS and think that it didn't really agree with me. I think maybe i will try and pick up some pregnacare, do u take it the whole way thro the pregnancy?

Yeah u can do. I stopped taking it because it was making me sick, there's also stuff u can get from tesco's, its their own brand of pre-natal vitamins, they're cheaper than pregnacare. They have folic acid in them.

Either way, u should try and get some folic acid into ur system as its vital for baby x

Hi Siouxie, huge congratulations on your wonderful news. I'm just over 11 weeks now and have been getting alot of stitch type pains too. I know they are probably completely normal but they still get you worrying dont they?? Good luck with the drs on Thursday, you wont have long to wait until your first scan!! How exciting. Mine is booked for the 14th May. Looking forward to getting to know you xx

Yea its very worrying hopefully it will put my mind to ease after my drs appointment and the balls rolling. Then got to face my mum. I moved back home a while ago as I got made redundant from one of my jobs so its going to be difficault as I don't think there going to be pleased at all.

aww they may surprise you. When I found out I was expecting my first baby, Id only been with my now hubby for 4 months and we were living with my dad. I was absolutley dreading telling my family - especially my dad - I was convinced he would go ballistic!! In the end they were all great, my dad and his wife actually took it the best. The first words out of his mouth were, "so why are you on a diet" lol xx

That's good to hear. Almost everything I've read said there parents came around. My dads so stubborn n childish sum times hopefully won't take them too long.
