I've just been to the toilet and found a bit of dark brownish blood, wiped a few times but it doesnt seem to be coming out anymore. I havent got any pains but I have been feeling poorly (sick and tired and just really lethargic) all day. What should I do?

Somebody please reply :(

Hiya Hun

Try not too worry with both my babies i had brownish blood between 5 and 10 weeks, just alittle bit when i wiped.

If u are still having little bit blood 2morow just to be sure give the docs a ring, they will send u for a scan, but also remeber at 5 weeks u may not see anything this is normal aswell hun.

Hope ur feeling better soon xxx try not to worry xxx

sorry thought u were only 5 weeks not looking right sorry hun

I've just rang NHS direct and they were more concerned about getting my details than the actual problem, she asked for the 1st line of my address 3 times!

Then she said would I be interested in a customer satisfaction survey

I was thinking for fucks sake are you gonna help me or what??!! Anyway she just said a nurse will ring me back in an hour and a half. Im so upset, thinking the worst then at least I cant be let down too much

My first midwifes appointment is tomorrow, how ironic is that :(

Hi Kirsty, You must try not to stress, phone the NHS24 if you feel over worried, but I know of lots of people who have had old blood at your stage and been fine, You should be able to get a reasurance scan once you talk to MW tomorrow, but do try to relax until then, Go have an early night if you can, nice warm (not hot) bath with some sweet smelly stuff and a bar of chocolate to munch on, some soft music.... see how you feel
Keep in touch, and if you do get that scan, we want to see lovely happy pics ok? :) talk soon, Lv Yvonne xx

write your questons down before she calls, and don't let a silly jobs body get to you!! Tell the nurse your concerns, I am sure she will tell you it isn't uncommon, Talk soon doll, lv Yvonne xx

Hun try not to stress, just mention it to your MW and let her know if anymore bleeding tomorrow.
Hope all is well

Im gonna ask a question to you all but I really dont want it to offend or upset anyone. All I ask is that people are honest with me...

If this bleeding means a miscarriage how long do you think it would be before it starts properly? I mean I've got the midwife appointment at 1 tomorrow but I dont know how Im going to sleep tonight. Ive had a few funny twinges in my stomach and I just wanna know either way if this is the end for me.

I hate waiting, not knowing whether the outcome will be good or bad :(

Sorry honey i dont know.. but it will be continuous bleeding i think..
Try not to worry yourself honey!

Sorry I can't answer that question, but I really hope everything is OK.

Thank you. Sorry for being such a drama queen but I really am worried. I'll let you all know when I find out whats going on

I hope you hear from the nurse soon. It must be really worrying for you.

I have no idea about bleeding and miscarriages I'm afraid.

I do know that I bled with 2 of my pregnancies (can't remember which ones), but it was only a little bit like yours, and just the once each time. I went on to have no more bleeding and healthy pregnancies and healthy babies.

My mw said that it could have been cervical erosion.

Hope you don't have any more bleeding. Please try not to worry. Put your feet up and rest - have the day off tomorrow if you work.

Heather x

Been over 2 hours now and NHS still havent rang back

I just wanna go to sleep! A bit earlier I felt this massive 'popping' sensation in my tummy but I cant figure out if it was wind ( ) or maybe something happening inside my womb :?

Wish the nurse would ring so I can get some advice and then some sleep!! OH has fallen asleep so I cant even have a hug :(

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Sure all will be ok

aww hun  im sure its nothing to worry about if they still havent phoned you back ring up again.I think its quite common for women to get this in the early stages try to stay calm (easier said i know) and talk to your mw tomorrow and im sure she will get you an early scan.xx

Hun i get 'popping' all the time and even tho i know its wind or something harmless, i still worry! Its okay hun! My friend had full periods thruout her pregnancy (not sure why) and lots others have slight blood in theirs too and its nothing. Ur not having bad pains either so it looks ok. Just try and sleep and see MW 2mo.  There would be nothing you can do til the morning now anyway sweetie

I had some bleeding between 6 and 9 weeks in this pregnancy, I was convinced that having had a previous miscarriage it was bound to be bad news... It wasn't !
Try to get some rest chick and if you can then push for a scan at your nearest early pregnancy unit tomorrow, ring your nearest, biggest hospital (or M/wife if she seems good) and just ask for the unit and then tell them what's happened..it is then difficult for them to refuse to scan you because they are your first contact .
Brown blood at your stage is very common so try not to worry until you know more. Lots of
Ps meant to say that if you've no pain and bleeding is very slight then you've no reason to think negatively yet, Make sure they scan you even if you have to fight for it

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.

The nurse rang me last night and asked me some questions, she was really nice and reassured me a bit. She advised me to lie in bed (which I was already) and asked if I had someone to stay with me today. OH has taken the day off and we're going to see the midwife at 1 o clock anyway for my booking in appointment. I just hope she refers me for a scan otherwise Im not going to be able to relax. The dreams I was having last night were horrible

Anyway, she said it might be implantation bleeding (at 8 weeks!!!), she said it may have been there a while but just made its way out now. My boobs are absolutely kiling me though (even more than normal) and I still feel sick etc so I really hope the bleeding was harmless.

I had a tiny bit of blood during the night but nothing since thank god

Wish 1 o clock would come round a bit quicker though :(

I hope the midwife sends you for a reassurance scan to ease your mind.

I had brown spotting with my previous 2 miscarriages but I lost all pregnancy symptoms around a week before.
You still have strong pregnancy symptoms so that's a fantastic sign

Just try and take it easy and I have my fingers and everything else crossed for you

Charm X
