**** July 2014 Mummies ****

Hi ladies.. Sorry I've not been on, I've not been very well with a terrible migraine so avoided computers and phones! If anyone els is suffering from headaches I recommend those cooling gel head strips, soo good!

Lovely to read about movements and midwife appointments going well :-).. Daley il be thinking of you tomorrow.. Let us know how you get on and if you find out the gender :-)

I've booked a private scan for the 8th feb.. My 20 weeks scan isn't until the 12th march, il be 21weeks so couldn't wait as my Doppler hire has expired now so I'm sending it back today- it's been a huge help!! I haven't had lots of movements.. Just the odd bubble now and again.

Anyone els being tested for diabetes ?.. I have my first GTT this Monday.. It's so boring! Hoping it's good news when I see my midwife on Wednesday :-)

How's everyone els doing? All starting to feel better?x

Sorry you've been feeling unwell. I suffer with migraines but have been lucky so far! Xxx

Nervous about tomorrow but will let you all know how it goes! Really hoping I can find out the sex x

Hi sozzy, I've got to have a gtt test but not untill I'm about 27 weeks and that's because my dad's diabetic. Midwife did find traces of glucose and ketone(? Couldn't read her writing) in my urine yesterday. Don't know if I should be worried or not.

Hiya.. I think the glucose trace is sugar in your urine.. But not to be alarmed Hun.. My dad and sister have it.. I got it very late in my last pregnancy at around 30 weeks.. But only needed diet control.. Due to my GTT showing a level of 9 which it should be between 4-7 if I remember rightly.. I think the more pregnancies you have the earlier you can get it but as I said before if we start to watch out sugar intake now we can curb it all together :-) good luck x

Aw Sozzy. I suffer with migraines and had one after the other for my whole first trimester. I hope you're on the mend now though & fingers crossed they won't come back.

I feel like an awful person... I really want a girl and I'm really worried I'm having a boy. I know I'll still love having a boy and will love that baby more than anything... But I just want a girl so badly, feel awful for caring! Main reason I'm not finding out because I know I'll be disappointed if I am having a boy. But after labour I know I won't care what the hell it is as long as it's healthy and not causing me any more pain lmao does anyone else feel this way :-(

I really wanted a girl first time round, so wanted to find out so I could mentally prepare. Plus there wasn't so much pressure as it was my first child.. Whereas this will likely be my last.. So I was really panicking that I'd be desperate for girl.. But I'm not really.. It would be perfect if it is but if I don't have a daughter, I might have a granddaughter one day.. Just like my dad now has a grandson (he had two girls) so now gets the joy of taking LO to football classes etc when he's old enough (not my husbands cup of tea thankfully)..

Ladies with LOs, interested to see if you have preferences in gender for baby two/three? Xxx

Btw, Don't feel awful Sarah! I think that quite a few pregnant ladies feel the same way, they might want a girl or a boy..
You're not the only one sweet xx

I'm curious how everyone feels as it's very taboo to outright say 'yes' when people ask 'do you have a preference between boy or girl?'
You have to say 'no, as long as it's healthy...'
Which is obviously true... Just can't help preference of a girl as well as the healthy thing too hehe

Edit: Thanks Capricorn :-) xx

My hubby would love a girl but genuinely has no preference one way or the other... But then he thinks I'll just keep having more haha first trimester was so traumatic for me this might be my only one! Unless it's a boy... Then I think I may be one of those ladies who keeps trying until they have their girl. Oh god I sound crazy lol

I have a friend who had 4 boys and was still trying to get hubby to try for number 5 as she wanted a girl her eldest is 15 now and wouldnt change her boys for the world and is glad she didnt have a girl its crazy isnt it!!

Thanks Sarah..xxx

I'm with you on this- I'd LOVE a girl ... So secretly rooting for this little one to be x

After a loss and knowing what I'm facing I just want this baby to be healthy.

But..,,if I'm truly honest with myself I would like a boy so I have one of each. Would me made up for my daughter if it was a girl though x

Do you ladies have a pref because of siblings or anything like that? Just wondering whats making us all want the sex we do xx

Ooh good question but no idea why I want a girl - I hate my sister and have always gotten on better with boys lol just like the idea of having a pretty little mummy's girl even though a little boy would be lovely because boys are nicer to their mums and very protective of them! Who knows haha

Obviously healthy is the main thing, but if it came down to choosing, I'd go for a boy- I come from a family of three girls- so a boy would be lovely- plus my hubby always says an older brother for a little girl later! :)

I don't think it's wrong to have a preference, as I know, no matter what I will love my baby to the moon and back!

Id like a little girl only because I had my son last and it would be nice for my daughter to have a baby sister this time around but my husband doesn't want our son to be the middle 'only boy' child.. Can't win really 3's an odd number lol.

But like some have said.. Healthy is the main thing :)x

Well obviously healthy is most important but I have 'my girl' so really don't mind (and therefore one of the reasons we're staying team yellow). I guess I'd really like a boy so we have 1 of each and so I can still tell my daughter that she is my favourite girl! Hubby wants another girl because he thinks they're easier (I've told him "just wait until she's a teenager!) And dd would like 'a girl baby'!

Yes as I write this :-/ had them once before at around 8 weeks.. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.. Resting right now.. Hope you are too if your getting them x
