:) January 2018 Mummy's thread

Thanks all! I'm so excited it's going to be a pink one. I'd have loved a boy too, but it'll be nice being able to enjoy that first dance lesson again etc. I couldn't believe how clear it all was too, she got an image right in between babies legs and I could tell straight away. I've got my 20 week scan on the 9th August, it's actually 19 week scan as we are off on holiday from 10th August and it would have been too late to do it by the time we got back.

I am so emotional too. I'm crying at everything.

I wasnt bothered at all either Carly. I really really wasnt and like you I felt that people didnt believe me. We had a scare thinking there was something wrong with baby so when we got the all clear then gender was a boy I was so relieved. I am happy to have my gorgeous 2 boys and they will be great friends. I like the idea of having a girl in the future if I have the opportunity so I can do the mum daughter stuff but if I was to have another boy after this I would be just as pleased. Im hoping to raise my boys to have a good relationship with their mama!! Xxxx

Awwh, such a lovely scan Ronnie!

We find out the gender in 2 weeks and 1 day! So nerve wracking. My mind keeps changing as to what I think the gender will be. I felt for so many weeks that it would be a boy but the last 3 weeks I've felt like it's going to be a girl! We'll be blessed either way but we are really hoping for team blue!

I feel like whatever i have Boy or girl, id like my second (if we are blessed again) to be the same gender. I like the idea of them being two brothers or sisters, but best mates too. i have a brother and we have so little in common, yet my husband has a brother and they are so close. Saying that, i wouldn't even mind a boy and a girl. Id be so proud to be the mum of two respectful boys. i know what you are saying on that one x

I wasn't fussed either, I just wanted to know so I could get prepared as I'm impatient. I already have 2 girls and 1 boy, so either would have fitted in well with us. Just glad it's healthy.

Same on the impatient front!

We're having a gender scan a week today - it's literally going to be the longest week of my life, EVER!!

Eek you girls having gender scans! Exciting! Ive been good and resisting! Going to stay team yellow, although I have daily arguments with myself about finding out being more practical! :) and because I'm inpatient!

I won't be on here much over the weekend we're away at the caravan, signal is rubbish! I tossed and turned all night, no reason for it, I'm so tired today! :(

Feel like it's going to drag to 20 week scan..... :(

Oh I told work, it went well so I'm happy about that .... just got to face my mother when we're back now!

Hey! My due date has now changed to 26th jan after my.12 week scan 😀

All updated to here ladies congrats on the girl Louisa. So tonight I was laying in bed relaxing and I started to feel bubbling like gas in my tummy then when it kept going I figured it must be baby moving, well when it gave me a few really good kicks that honestly couldn't have been anything else I almost cried lol I didn't want it to stop kicking me

Oh so exciting to hear about movements and people having gender scans!!

Probably a bit early but I'm wondering if I have felt movements. I am 15+1 and rather than flutters/bubbles i keep feeling something reminiscent of later in my last pregnancy like when they roll or move (not kick). So I'm sure its in my head but getting excited to feel it again.

I'm having a hard time remembering this pregnancy is real so movement would help & ease a lot of between scan worry!

Today I slipped on wet grass and landed on my bum and hand (during an interview no less!) I am a bit worried as its my first pregnancy fall but no pains or bleeding (other than a sore bum!) Typically over a bank holiday weekend though when I can't get midwife on the phone. I'm 15 weeks today

Good luck telling the family, I know it's been bothering you. Hopefully your mind has built it up far more than it will be, and everything will be just fine. keep us posted, hope you had a lovely weekend!

I am currently fighting a bloody kidney infection which has brought about a whole host of nasty symptoms to add to my list lol.

I'm off on holiday to Majorca in 2 weeks time for 3 weeks - I'll be 19 weeks when we go. I'm having such a dilemma over clothing. At the mo I'm living it maxi skirts, but it's obviously going to be so hot there. The holiday maternity clothes I can find cost a fortune which I don't really want to spend as they will only be used for 3 weeks as it'll be heading into september by the time we are home. None of my normal holiday clothes fit as I've rounded up a lot and my boobs are huge. I got a couple of maternity tankinis from mothercare in the sale but apart from that I have nothing. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks carly. We're going to go round the family tomorrow and tell them and then it's done. Getting hard to hide it now and I don't want to either!:)

Hope you're ok blank page I slipped on ice at 6 months pregnant, all was ok baby has a lot of fluid surrounding them they're well protected. Just may leave a bruise for you!

Nice that we're all feeling little niggly movements now. :)

Louisa I'm the same, we go to Majorca at the end of August and I have zero clothes yet! I'll be 20 weeks, probably just get maxi dresses and linen pants. And casual Shorts. Can't wait for some sunshine, shame I can't enjoy some holiday drinks! :( haven't been abroad for years and it's the boys first time on a plane :) x x

Today I officially reached the second trimester! Hooray! AND I had a letter from the hospital confirming the results from my scan and blood test to say it's all low risk for downs so I am so relieved.

I can't believe I am 14 weeks already!!

We are going to Canada in 6 weeks. Weather should be fairly similar to here but I am still stressing about what to wear as I will be 20 weeks. Think I will prob need some maternity jeans by then.

Now I am just getting impatient for a bump and to feel something though I know that could be weeks away yet. I did feel some bubbling in my stomach last week though!

New look have a spring summer sale on at the moment, quite a few dresses in the maternity sale. I've finally bought a few bits myself x

Thank you all for your responses about my clothing crisis. My mums going to have the kids for a couple of hours tomorrow so I can go sale shopping. Will go to new look and see what I can find.
