*January 2018 mummies - tri 3!*

Been having pains since around 10.30pm so little lady may be arriving earlier than the 2nd. Currently on sofa downstairs as too uncomfy in bed. Hard to know if just BH or the real deal as I haven’t had BH before...just nervous to leave it too long to go in as I’m having a section. Thinking best to try and get some sleep and see how I’m doing in a few hours.

Thinking of you - Hope things have continued and you’ve made your way in. X

Thanks Ali. Things stopped around 4am and I’ve been in for bloods for my section tomorrow and they weren’t concerned. Said they’d rather not examine me as it can trigger things if not established labour and they’d rather not with the section booked for tomorrow. I need to call if things ramp up again. At this point, it would be better if she just stays put till the morning as I don’t fancy an emergency section.

Happy new year!

Good luck hoping, I’ve been getting little pains and niggles hopefully just everything getting into position2 weeks left still for me and I don’t think she will be early lol back to midwives tomorrow for my weekly visit to check position and listen to her heartbeat 💗

Glad things settled hoping , I’ve been having a lot of pains , and some times panic that it’s starting, so I know the anxious feeling! It’s hard knowing your having a planned section , and not wanting to go into labour in these days running up to it! A Very anxious time! But luckily things look good for you for tomorrow. Look forward to seeing your news. :)
I’m in for first dose of steroids tomorrow, so I’ll mention my pains too but they likely won’t be concerned . X

Hi sugar10.. best of luck - just curious though, why are you having steroids?

Any news hoping ?! - Obviously being very impatient by asking! Haha.

Torino having steroids due to some medical history plus my last baby being small birth weight and poorly. Not expecting any complications this time around - apart from being footling breech! - but Fingers crosses there are no complications with the delivery. I’m feeling really anxious about it all! Had 3 natural deliveries, and then my last being a crash emergency section due to placenta abruption. So not actually had a ‘planned’ delivery before! It’s all very surreal! :)

Im due in 2 days!
Im being very impatient and have felt really down that nothing is happening but hopefully will soon.
Had scan today and baby is estimated at 8lb5oz which is a nice size. I just hope something starts soon as Im a million percent ready!!!!

Sending love to you all and hope all goes well for the ladies booked for sections/inductions.

Xxxxxx

Hi ladies!

Its looking likely that I will be having my baby at 39 weeks by elective section which will be 26th Jan instead of 3rd Feb, so I may be a January Mummy after all!

Ah! I wondered if it was because it was coming a bit early. Fx all is ok xx

I thought things might be starting last night. Felt incredibly sick for an hour or so. I then developed regular tightening with vaginal pains. Had a bath and it went quiet. When I got out I felt heavy and aching in my back, then nothing really on waking up this morning. I rang the midwife at the time on my mothers orders, and was told I could be entering the latent phase. I've read up and don't think baby will necessarily be coming just yet :(
Waiting on ladies good news and baby pics coming through in the next few days /weeks! So exciting it's finally here x

Morning All,

I’m now convinced baby won’t be coming early - I seem to have developed a nasty cough and have almost lost my voice!
Is there any link between feeling poorly and body realising so not going into labour? Apart from having no voice and having to cough, a lot, I feel alright. No temperature or anything, and I’m still managing to sleep ok. I don’t think there’s much I can do or take to help really - it’s been going on a few days now!

Baby wise, I’m still get a lot of Braxton Hicks. Not seeing midwife until 9th Jan, day before my due date, she was confident baby would be here by then, if not I can have a sweep.

At least I have a quiet day ahead - Zac is off to preschool and OH has got to go to work as no baby yet!

Hi ladies! I think we're all getting pretty impatient now!! I sure am haha. I'm not due until the 14th but hubby only off until the 17th unless they arrive before then so really hoping they're a bit early so Daddy can get more time with baby (cos then paternity leave will be tagged on the end).

We had a bit of a "funny drama". So at my last midwife appointments she measured no growth in 2 weeks. I ended up going into hospital to be remeasured and all my vitals taken. They measured me even smaller and were quite concerned. So they said they'd get me in for a growth scan asap. We literally left for lunch, ordered and got an immediate phonecall dramatically asking if I could come back right away for a scan. So we did but we were freaking out that it had been so immediate. Got the scan and basically... Our baby has short legs hahaha! I'm 5'5", hubby is only an inch taller than me and his parents are both under 5', all his siblings are really short and I have a long torso and short legs so we were like...duh? Haha

They did say I had below average fluid but within normal ranges. But they basically said the head and tummy are at full term (like 40 weeks) and the leg lengths are at 34 weeks. So not really looking forward to pushing that giant head out especially if it keeps getting bigger the longer I go! (Scan was on 37+5) Doc who did scan said head was very low down but will find out how low tomorrow at midwife.

Yesterday felt a few pains which were like period pains and hard bump but only very sparsely throughout the day so I think maybe it means they'll be here in the next few but you never know.

Can't wait to hear about everyone's new babies so soon!!!

This made me smile Blank because we have the opposite problem - I’m 5ft3 and my so are most of my family, whereas OH is 6ft5!
My little boy was all leg and body, he’s tall now at the age of 3 - we had a growth scan with this baby as they thought she was huge - turns out she’s all leg and body, OH’s strong genes again!

I guess time will tell - 7 days until due date!

Hope hoping is ok! We’re all set for our planned section in the morning. Very surreal! :) x x

Well for the first time in a while oh and I dtd this morning for those precious prostaglandins!! It took a few goes but worked last time. Well I was sore anyway but my gosh it's sparked some interesting cramping today!! I don't think Labour will be any time soon but might have another wee romantic liason in a few days.

I think I must be one of the few that doesn't want baby to come just yet but that's probably because it's my birthday tomorrow (so don't want to share haha) and also I am still working until Friday so feel like I want to enjoy some of my maternity leave before it arrives.

Although we have all the things we need etc, it still seems unbelievable to me that it could be so soon!

Still, bags all packed, buggy built and car seat in the car so at least I am prepared!

Wow you are still working? Not surprised you are hoping for some peace before

I have noticed the nesting seems to be starting, today I've been crazed cleaning and washing
