Hi just wondering if anyone can help.
We have been trying for 5 months, which I know is not long. But my cycle length keep varying.
Month 1 28 days, month 2 25 days, month 3 25 days, month 4 22 days and this cycle 30 seats an counting. For the last few months I've tried opks but keep getting negatives. Does anyone know how I can track my fertile days without been getting regular?
Thanks in advance x

I am the same as you with irregular cycle lengths. For this month I am not tracking anything, I'm just going to go with it, we will be dtd every other day if not more and see where that gets us. Nearly everyone I've spoken to who has got pregnant said it happened once they stopped worrying and stopped tracking ovulation etc, so maybe try that.

As for tracking ovulation I recently read on here that discharge changes throughout our cycles and on the one or two days over the ovulation days a woman's discharge changes and goes clear, like egg white and quite stringy. Other than tracking that I know some woman check their Temps, as these change too.

Good luck. X

My cycles never settled down since coming off depo. I normally start using opk from the last day of my period. Don't want to leave it to chance. I follow the instructions to a T and test at the same time everyday (most of the time). I tried temping but didn't work for me and temping tells you when you have already ovulated (so I've heard)
Good luck and I hope you get you bfp soon

If opks aren't working, you could try temping. That will tell you afterwards though so at least you'll know you've ovulated. Otherwise, keep an eye on your EWCM. You should get up to 6 days of it before ovulation. It's the best time to dtd and if you track it each month you may get an idea of roughly when you are ovulating. I use really sensitive opks - the cheap strips from Amazon. You must check after 10am in the morning though - alot of people think they are like pregnancy tests and you use them first thing, but you don't. If you want to check ovulation is definitely happening you can get a blood test to check the LH surge. But as long as you periods are fairly normal then you have ovulated. Otherwise just dtd every 2 days and you are covered (if you have the energy!).

You say this cycle is 30 days and counting so if that means af hasn't arrived yet and your normal longest cycle is 25 days, you were 5 days late when you started this thread.

Have to tried a home pregnancy test?
