Hey iv been having contractions since 230am this morning i cant sit down or lay down always have to walk around im so tired i neeed sleep any advice

eat and drink plenty of sugary food and drinks, sway alot, rotate your hips in a circle, bounce on a birth ball. save your energy, have u taken pain relief? how long is yr contractions xx

I bite my lip. Not got much of a lip left now tho hehe.
Oh and also use my gym ball.

I found hanging onto a door handle and swaying side to side really helped. Also if you pick a spot, just anything in the room and really concentrate on it every time you have a contraction and breathe really deep and slowly I guarantee you they don't feel as bad. xx

I kept moving too. I found leaning over the bannister in the hallway and swinging my hips side to side helped the most. It won't help with the sleep though!

Have you tried a warm/hot bath, I spent over 12hours at home in the bath with the hot tap running nearly permanently - was the only way I coped at home (had 45hrs of 'early labour) before I was allowed to stay at hosp. Also walked and bounced lots. 4hrly paracetomol too xx good luck you'll be grand xx

Walking around and shaking my hands to shake the pain away lol, that was until they put canuals in both hands. I couldn't even move them then lol. We all deal with it in different ways, baths also helped but after I found it helped progress labour too x

I grabbed in to the towek rail and kinda squatted lol also walked aeound loads

sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 :P

Walking, eating, squatting too. How about music? I plan on using ,y iPod or just blasting my fave tunes in early labour. Back rubs are lovely too.
Good luck. If you've got a TENS, get it on ASAP.

I just found standing and leaning on something and rocking from side to side helped.

I couldn't sit down or lay down - definitely needed to be on my feet

I had to lie down on my side, I couldn't stand at all. Horrendous pain lol xx
