I just want to cry . . .

Sorry ladies, just need a rant about how im feeling. Had sweep today (not as bad as I expected, still not pleasent) and she couldnt do as my cervix is not soft/ripe/open enough. So booked my for induction next Fri (if theres a bed). I just want to cry, im gutted. I have a feeling im just gona end up having a c-sec. They said they do the 'process' 3 times and if it doesnt soften and open the cervix its a C-section. I just know im going to end up having one of these. I have low blood platelets and will need to be put to sleep and miss the whole thing. Plus then I just think, they would have done the C-sec the other week and it would all be over and id have my baby by now. If theres no beds Fri, it will be mon, because they dont induce at the wkend. Sorry just feeling really sorry for myself now xxx

Easier said than done, but try to stay relaxed and think positively, if you resign yourself to a section there'll be more chance of you having one.

what seams to be apparant to me lately is that they were trying not to give any1 a c section unless medically necessary... .now they seam to give them quite easily!!

hope your sweep gets things going, and glad it wasnt too bad, you never know, if you think positive, baby may just appear in time,

Thanks ladies, the support helps and im trying to stay positive and think this time next week i'll be so much closer to meeting baby. Do you think even though my cervix is not 'ready' there is still a chance baby might come before Friday? xx

I'm not talking from experience, but I'd say a lot can happen in a week! If were you, I'd be walking, bouncing, having hot curries, enticing the OH to bed lol. All the old wives tales would be tested! Could be a fun week

You've got to stay positive hun, if you get uptight about what COULD happen you might subconsciously stop it happening naturally. You WILL be fine! xx

Aw thanks again ladies. Trying to stay positive now and hope that baby does come before! No point worrying about it and also as long as baby is ok, im lucky and thats all that matters xx

Would they not try to give you the prostin gel first? My sweep wasn't successful but still gave the gel and that got things going. Good luck!

Megs they said they would give me the gel Friday when im induced! Ive gone back to thinking that there is something wrong with me?! why isnt my cervix softening like it should. I feel like a failure! x
