The chewing kicks in between 6-18 months - i've got a jack she didn't chew but she had a thing for ripping the insides out of slippers and taking socks from the laundry basket when you bring them in from drying!!!

Just make sure you have plenty of rawhide chews for her teeth - mine had about 10 different ones at once and get her used to them early - thats my theory that she never touched the furniture!!! And toys - the treat balls where they have to knck the ball to get biscuits out are really good i have 2 different ones - and its amazing the amount they do for small dogs too!!

Ahhh the 'kong' toys, she has 2 of those, one with meat in and one with treats in. To be fair she wont be left to her own devices for more than an hour or two at a time so she wont have much oppertunity to chew. My staffie pups would have demolished a house by now so i am well impressed with the restraint she is showing so far lol xx

My dog doesn't like kongs but this is what she has http://www.petsathome.com/shop/training-treat-ball-for-dogs-by-wlpet-13549 and one that looks like 3 tennis balls joined together that has a hole in one end for treats!!!

Also the little tennis balls are a favourite for my little dog!!

i have 2 - one of them she has learnt to unscrew and get the treats and the other one is fab but cant seem to find a pic of it - but it makes quite a mess hence she hasn't got it at the mo - she's really into these rawhide treats with crunchy stuff in the centre!!!!

Its so nice they have a selection of toys for small dogs as when i got her there werent alot i could get her and she refuses to play with plastic/ rubber toys!!
