I got diagnosed with this on Christmas Eve and started on insulin on Jan 4th 4 x a day, absolutely hate it as I just want to be normal....whatever that is? I have been closely followed up with extra scans and bubba is growing well, not big, just right. However my amniotic fluid is very low and causing me no end of grief. Try not to worry about the gestational diabetes, i know it is worrying but if nothing else helps just remember that they won't let you go past your due date with it xx.
