After spending a few days wondering how to pluck up the courage to tell OH i'm really not sure about our choice of boys name, last night he said he wasn't sure about calling the baby xxxxxxx and what did I think.

:rotfl: it was great I got out of being the indecisive one for a change!

:( Now we've just got to choose a name we can both agree on!

hehe i have a feeling OH dont like our babies name :rotfl: i bet hes wising i change my mind. you got lucky there.

any ideas of new names?

Its really difficult because I like more traditional names whereas he likes more modern ones.

At the moment though I like Max (but Kerry Katona is calling her baby that so it's put me off), Joseph, Charlie and Sam.

OH's suggestions so far Jonathon, Leon and Joshua.

Joshua is the only one of his names I like!

max was our dogs name so to me that seems funny for a babies name :rotfl:

but joshua and joseph are both really nice, me and OH like totally different names too :wall: but he picked Alana's name so i'm having final say on this one :rotfl:

good luck finding a name hun
charlie is our back-up name :)
manda xx

OH said Max sounds like a dogs name :rotfl:

I can't believe at 34 weeks we are still trying to think of a name

When I was first Pregnant he used to for a joke call my bump Frank and I didn't like it. But, now the name Frankie has grown on me too! But that sounds like a girls name doesn't it?

yeah i think frankie is a girls name, well i know 1 frankie. and some people use it to shorten francesca.

I have nephews called Max and Joshua! Both nice names!
I have a step-brother called Leon, it's an ok-ish name (imo). Sounds a bit like Leo which makes me say Lion. Lol

Charlie is a really sweet name!

I think boys names are so difficult! We decided on Tyler but then i went off of it - i managed to gradually and subtely convince my OH that he didn't like it either. Lol.

Then we eventually agreed on Jack = it had always been my favourite name (and my grandads name) but i have a cousin called Jack and wasn't sure about copying, then i decided i didn't care!

Then we found out we were having a girl. Lol.

Every name we think of we know someone called it or they have called their LO it. It really is tricky choosing the right name.

Also i want a name that sounds right with George my sons name i don't think calling him a modern name would sound right against George!!!! :x

We really struggled coming up with a name we both liked this time. Both of us had several names we liked, but the other didn't.
Why are girls names so much easier?!

good luck lol we couldnt find any boys names we liked

I think boys names are easier than girls my oh cannot think on any name he likes  he wants it to be perfect i have given up asking him i can see our little girl being nameless for a while.

Had he been a girl it was sorted and we had both agreed on the name Lily.

I think boys names are sooo difficult.

hello
my little one is a girl but we struggled with boys names

i liked Patrick, Elliott, James, Joseph

my hubbie hated them all...!

x

I think I am going to write a list of my favourites and he can do the same then hopefully  we might have at least one name between us we can both agree on.

That's what we did, we each drew up a list of our favourites, then looked at the others list and ticked which names we didn't mind so we had a shortlist of names we both liked.

We originally had the name Logan on our middle name list. But it really grew on both of us and we decided we wanted to call baby Logan if it's a boy but were worried it would be a really unusual name as we've never met anyone with that name. Then I saw that muppetmummy was calling her boy Logan and she told me it is really popular in Scotland now - sure enough, it has really taken off in the last 5 years and was 12th most popular last year. And someone sat next to me at antenatal class said they were going to call their boy Logan - so now I'm worried it's too common (in the quantity sense) and he'd end up in a class full of Logan's :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

we have had our boys name since ttc and we both love it, i like a few boy names but the one weve chose is definately my fave

girls names are a nightmare!!! i liked a few, jasmine, mia, grace but there just seems to be so many of them and i want a name thats not too common so there lies my problem :?

3 baby name books later and we now have two possible girls names that are growing on me but im not as in love with them as my boys name, im hoping if its a girl i will just look at her and know but i doubt it lol
