Calling your baby by thier name

I've chose my babies name but I still call him 'baby' or 'him/he'. Im not sure why I do it, think it's just incase I change my mind after he is born (not very likely but there is still a chance)

I also done the same with Nathan. He got called 'baby' all the time I was pregnant but as soon as he was born and I was definate about his name it felt right to call him by his name but while I was pregnant it didn't for some reason so he just got called 'baby'
