Hi

We have been using Huggies nappies, we have loads as they have been on offer and we brought them before LO was born. However, we keeep finding that when he wees the nappies leak (but not every time) has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone recommend how to prevent this?

Mxxx

i quite liked the huggies until we moved onto size 2 and they leak like mad, especially at night...i won't be buying them again! so sorry no advice hun.

I think we are confused as to whether the leg flaps shoulp be inside or outside?

outside! I have only just started using them now and the bigger ones are fine.

I think it mostly depends on the baby. Some babies leak in one brand, others are fine in it. Some sizes leak on one baby, another size does not.

TBH its trial and error and you may find you change brand a few times over the time your LO is in nappies. If you've splashed out on loads of Pampers and find they continue to leak I suggest you try another make and buy a small pack and see how they do before buying in bulk and use the Pampers ones only during the day when you can be alert to needing to change them before they get too wet. That way at least you'll use them up and can keep trying other makes to see what works (for now).

I only used Huggies in size 2 & 3, and only a couple of times when they were on offer. I was really disappointed in them, I found they leaked, and that they often left little beady bits on his bottom, even if he'd not had the nappy on that long (maybe an hour?).

I'm a Tesco own brand girl & don't buy any other any more!

Yes. If Sprog's not filled a nappy for a couple of days I will NOT put him in Huggies 'cos they explode straight away.

Me too! I had terrible trouble with leaking nappies at night. I was using Pampers Extra Dry but tried Huggies too. They were not just leaking but bursting!

Tesco Superfit are brilliant. They fit well and never leak. And they're cheaper too.

James leaked wee all over my bed lastnight in a huggies

ive given up with huggies and now use boots own i find them a great fit and hold everything in well never had a leakage :)
xx

we have had leaks in huggies, it might be a boy thing as my mate uses them for her little girl and they are fine, she said pampers leaked and she prefers huggies but i prefer pampers they have never leaked on him.

Sorry to say but I hate huggies and have gone back to Pampers Baby Dry Size 2 and they are muuuuuuuch better! :D

i tried huggies as we had a free pack but i found pampers much better so we use them now

god i hate bloody huggies...sorry but a few weeks ago i nipped into morrisons to get some nappies they didnt have
the 5+ pampers that i normally get and they had a buy one get one free offer on the size 5 huggies so i got them!
i know that i found them leaky when someone bought me some when Hayden was newborn but i thought well that cant be that bad..i'll just give them a chance! NEVER AGAIN! honestly one morning the nappy was so full and heavy it had ripped below the bit where you tape it..and poor Hayden his little willy was hanging out of the gap where it ripped :-(
i changed him before he went to bed at 8 and by 8 in the morning- pah might aswell have not put a nappy on!!

nothing but pampers baby dry for me from now- huggies have always leaked for me plus they are very stiff and hard..
they gave Hayden irritation rash on his tummy which he has never had before..Pampers feel nice and soft n comfy compared with them- its like charmin ultra compared to the nastiest cheapest paper toilet roll!
phew sorry for this major rant but i think huggies are proper shite!!!

I HATE huggies too! I wasn't impressed by their size 1 but there's size 2 are worse!
We've got quite a lot left but i've bought some pampers size 2 which are much nicer!

I did try all the own brands but didn't get on with them.

Used Huggies nappies size 1 for the first week and they were leaking all the time, day and night. Switched to Pampers New Baby size 1, then now 2, and they're really good for Louis,,, just an occasional leakage from time to time at night, never during the day 8)

I love huggies, esp super dry for night. For Dan, when they start leaking its my cue that he needs a bigger size.

yes i did actually.. i was on holiday in malta and bought a pack of huggies which were made in italy. they leaked really badly so i wrote to them and they sent me two five pound vouchers!

Add me to the list of people who will never use huggies again!

They were crap when I had Mason, crap when I had Brody, not even going to try them for riley. Pampers all the way for me.

They leaked for both of mine, I just use tesco's own now (when he's not in cloth) and find them as good as pampers
