Not as much as we spend

We earn anywhere between 1700€ a month to 2500€ a month depending if I do photos, or DH fixes computers on the side or what work I am doing as I do a lot of agency work and translation. As normal in Spain we also get double our wage in June and December too... so if we are really lucky we can get 5000€ twice a year

Why do you get double in June and December if you dont mind me asking

I think it goes back to people having holidays in June and December is xmas...and a lot of places are closed during those times. In the entire time I have been in Spain I have only ever worked in one place where I have received 12 payments a year instead of 14.

DH earns around £1200 a month after tax

I get nothing apart from student loan, but that's a loan so it will have to be paid back eventually so doesn't count really, plus for the past year I wasn't at uni so didn't get any.

We also get child benefit and child tax credit of course, which is around £89 a week.

Hmm, tricky one to answer. OH lost his job 13 weeks ago and has just started getting bits of work again. He works from home and he is not great at applying himself if he isn't given deadlines and as yet he has had no money in for the stuff he did last week. So his income is pretty much £0. I am on maternity leave so it's SMP for me
I'll go back to work 3 days a week in 2 months and then I'll be getting £1100 a month after tax. That pays the mortgage, my student loan, bills and food but doesn't leave anything over so fun stuff would have to come out of our savings. If OH gets back to the amount of work he had before he'd get £1400 after tax. That's lots of fun stuff

i earn about £200 a month and hubby brings in £1200 a month although i havent had my first wage yet as i have only just started so we will have to see how it affects things.

We bring in about £4k a month between us but have 2 houses so 2 mortgages so its all relative. (We arent posh and have 2 houses cos we want to I had my own house when we met and we are doing it up to sell it. That was the plan but I have a feeling we may struggle now. )

When I was single and a career girl I used to bring in an average of £4k a month just me. Best ever month I earned £18k before tax!!! I got taxed a wopping £9k though. I had A LOT of shoes....lol. So really I earn a lot less than I used to and money is a lot tighter than it used to be but we do ok and I cant grumble.

with my full-time wage, we earn about £1850 or thereabouts after tax. when my MA starts it will come down to about £1400 a month, but OH can work as many hours as he wants, which he will need to do some more once we get house and everything!

Currently nothing and the savings are running out quickly - we took a year off from working to go and live in France and restore our house over there, now we are back in the UK, DH is looking for a new job (had an offer which is now on hold), and Im pretty much unemployable at nearly 5 months pregnant.

Previously we earnt - £1200 a day between us.........both in IT Contract positions (me £400 a day and DH £800 a day).

Before that when we were in permanent jobs we earnt £55,000 (me) £75,000 (DH) again in IT!

Used to have a fantastic life, but struggling like anything now and still have 2 mortgages as havent sold the house in France yet!

Er... nothing like! You're forgetting tax! Probably more like £3600. And of course I'm not earning any more!!!

Just under 50,000 pounds between the 2 of us. But we have a lot of debt that has been consolidated.

We have a good life, go away and don't have any money issues but we can't get a mortage

Flipping Heck I would love to earn what you guys do I earn on average £120 - £150 per week after tax and OH is currently looking for work. So that's ermmm possible £500 ish a month at the mo and our bills are approximately £1500 a month. Work that one out!

My hours have just been cut so we are now on about £2000 pcm but bills/food etc account for all bar about 200 of that
