So i have a little girl who is 16 months. I work 2 days a week - well i did until i handed in my notice this morning! Really like my job but our childcare arrangments didnt work and my little girls care is my main priority. We were planning to try for another baby soon. Does anyone know how maternity allowance works? If i get pregnant in the next six months would i be entitled to maternity allowance.
I am not entitled to tax credits or anthing else. I would love another baby as we are planning to have two i would like a smallish gap. I have talked to my work about staying on as a casual staff memeber but this could be working 1-2 days a month. My main question is does anyone know how maternity allowance work. If HR take me off the system from end of July, when would i have to be pregnant by to be entitled to maternity allowance?
