How many of us examine our breasts?

I had a scare a few years ago, but luckily it just turned out to be a cyst - had to have it removed under general anaesthetic though and now have a nice 2" scar on my right breast, so yes, I check weekly.

Your suposed to go round and make sure you feel every bit. DH does mine just because it makes me feel sick touching them. I read that You can get lumps and bumps depending on where abouts in your cycle you are so really it should be a regular thing so you know whats 'normal' for you.
I dont know any one that does it which is actually pretty scarey!

I voted no, because I get the doctor to do it if I'm worried about a lump.

Last time a doctor did was about 5 weeks ago, and she said they felt fine.

I'm sure if I did it myself i wouldn't do it properly.

Do it in the shower/bath when you are washing. Soap your hands up so they glide over your skin and check your breasts in a circular motion, over and under. Dont forget to check your under arm too.

I found a lump which I got checked by the hospital. It turned out to be a lump in a vein from a bruise from years ago when I was in a car accident they said its fine and just left it

I do check mine but not nearly as often as I should. I do it in the shower as it's easier. I've never found anything yet. I nag OH to check his testicles too but I don't think he does

I never do it, I hate the way it feels. I found a lump in march when I was feeding Dan, luckily it was just a blocked milk duct.
I've just got one of these though from lloyds chemist, I haven't used it yet but it looks like it will help

i do durin the other shower for 2 reasons - my mum had breast cancer so I have to be extra vigilant and the other reason is so I can check where they put the scar when i (eventually) get a boob job lmao

I check mine every other day, plus I also get a mamogram once a year since I was 18 as my Mum passed away with cancer that started in the breasts, before moving elsewhere in the body

My friend has just found a lump...went to doctors and was told to come back in 2 months and if its still there then we'l have another look

i do, but i dont really kno what im doing

i just squidge and poke them and check for lumps every few months or something. but now they can feel lumpy anyway if theyre full of milk, so i dont kno any better for checking!

ive voted that i dont know how really something i should sort out my boobs are quite lumpy in general anyway so im not really sure what im doing think i will make an appointment with the well women nurse at our doctors and ask her to explain to me how to do it properly that should be nice and embarrasing xxxxxxx
