i'm presuming that you're using follow-on formula under medical instruction whilst talia is under 6 months?

Hi! Well no actually, as shes nearly at 6 months I just thought the follow on milk would be the better option as I started weaning her at 4 months and on the back it says 'to complement weaning'. Is it harmful to give it her before six months then??

sorry hon, didn't mean to worry you. i just know that follow on formula is supposed to be for 6 months plus, and only for under that when medically advised... maybe check with your HV?

thats ok, i worry about everything! I will check with her, though she follows everything to the book so i'll probably get a telling off! lol She's been on it for nearly a week weeks now, don't really want to switch. Has anyone else used follow on before 6 months?

Anyways I would have loved to have exclusevly bf my lo up to 6 months but the pressure on me to switch to bottle by my family was huge! hoping to give her one night bf for as long as she wants it though

aw, that's really sad why were they pressuring you like that??

i don't think my OH envisaged me bf-ing for this long, but he's realised the benefits and is starting to come round to the idea that i intend to do this til connor self-weans. i do think he misses my boobs though

I've been feeding for 10 months and still going strong. My o/h doesn't want me to carry on after l/o turns one coz she'll be "too big" - wtf????

She's only a diddly little thing - he's in for a shock coz i've no intention of stopping at 1

Well no one in my family has bf their baby's except my OH mum but she only did it for 3 weeks, so no one understood why i was doing it and why i was carrying on for so long. In fact my mum comented to me recently that she was glad that I stopped cos it was getting a bit 'wrong' !!!
I still bf my LO once during the night but no one knows about that except my oh, who has been supportive but has been moaning that he wants my boobs back! lol
