how long does the bleeding last?

Started bleeding yesterday losing my baby at just about 7 weeks and had a scan. Nothing at all visible at the scan so doc said seems to have all came away. Done a check on my cervix and told me my bleedong seems to be ending but its still flowing out of me today. Just wondering how long I can expect this? Thanks xx

mine lasted a few days and then i was spotting for up to 2 weeks post mc hun. I was later than you but it can drag on sadly. Its just an awful constant reminder of what you are going through. If you are worried call the docs again though, especially if its heavy.

Sorry for your loss sweetie

My first miscarriage was at 8 weeks but I spotted for 3 weeks before, then had a heavy bleed with awful cramps for about 48 hours

Then I spotted / lightly bled for almost 3 months

My other two miscarriages were earlier (5 weeks and 6 weeks) and the bleeds were more like periods.

Everyone is different and every loss is different.

Be good to youeself, rest and make sure you eat

Thanks carnat. Those 3 months must have been horrendous for u! My bleed seems like a period :/ I'm having the early labour pains I had with my son in my back and thighs. So uncomfortable. Want it all over

hey hun i think it varies between people, i mc at 14 weeks and bled for 7 days then it stopped just light spotting here and there after that

just make sure you use pads NOT tampons as your cervix will be open so you risk infection

take care of yourself and get some rest, i hope this passes soon for you lovely

Thanks lynette I hope it doesn't last for too long. I was meant to go to essex this weekend for my birthday is at the end of month but I don't want to go if I'm bleeding like this want to take my mind off things but I wouldn't be comfortable like this x

hi there as the other said its difrent for everyone and mine last yr was spotting b4 i knew i was mc had scan they didnt know how far i was or anything for sure but my lmp i would have been 10 weeks but sac was only 5.5 weeks but anyways i had to have a dnc in end cos the sac just wouldnt come away and i bled on and off for 2 weeks and 3 days after that my af turned up,hope its not to bad for u bless ya xx

Thanks jojo the doctor saw nothing on my scan so thinks its a clean mc she said to test in ten days to make sure its negative cruelest part really x

i had my cousins wedding to goto when i mc and ended up not gping i just needed to be home and curled up xx do what feels best for you sweety
testing will be hard, it was hard for me to see a BFN after having lines for 14 weeks ( i am a poas addict lol )

So sorry to hear this hunny I bled for 3 months after my mc too. Sac only grew to 5-6 weeks and spotted on and off all the way up to 12 weeks when I mc'ed naturally. I bled for so long after my mc because of retained tissue though and still ended up with a dnc 2 months later.

Hopefully with having a clean mc u won't bleed for too long Just do whats best for u regarding the weekend xxx

It lasted 17 days if I recall. But it was only like 2 days of proper flow the rest was just spotting. Oh and horrendous cramps for like 4 weeks....my first AF was a nightmare and then eventually all calmed down. Sorry you have to go through this
