Usually I put B to bed half asleep, but tonight he's pretty awake. He's been up there awake for about half an hour or so. Pretty content, no moans or anything. Just want him to fall asleep as feel guilty!

xx

alyssa wont go to sleep by herself yet but settles if i put my hand on her and sing to her. B would let you know if he wasnt happy hun so dont feel bad, its hard but its what you have to do to help him be independant and self sufficient. you cant be with him every minute lol

Harlow varies, I can put her down sometimes and shes gone before I have even finished moving my arms away, other times she self settles in about 5 minutes, other times if she is having an off day she needs cuddles x

I have only just started getting E to self settle for the past couple of weeks. At first, she would cry her eyes out for nearly 2 hours for her naps. Now she settles in a couple of mins. This week we have started putting her to sleep in her crib while awake and it takes only a couple of mins - 20 or so mins. Staying asleep for long periods is another story. I was just getting frustrated by her only sleeping on me. I hated hearing her cry but she did learn pretty fast and has made everyone more relaxed, including her.

varies......at night time it about 10 mins.....but for naps during the day can be a bit longer...sometimes she will just lie there awake...

night time she tends to cry, but just half hearted ;im tired' cries...

At night LO is asleep pretty much as soon as he is put in his cot. During the day he cries for about 10 minutes then goes off.

It took him 40 minutes! I went up and put dummy back in and he was snoring 5 minutes later. He was an angel though. I peaked thru the door and he was watching his arms. I swear he's just discovered them lol. Was quite pleased with myself. I do prefer it when he's half asleep though lol. X

Albert won't go to sleep on his own and if he wakes alone he frets but if we are there he's ok.....just hoping it's cos he's new and shiny otherwise when OH goes back to work it will be hard on both of us if I have stuff to do whilst he naps
