How long before you conceived after having your baby...........

We started ttc when our daughter was a year old and it only took 2 months, so she'll be 22 months when LO is born :) x x

We are going to wait until S is about 3 or 4. Mostly because we are both still young and so luckily have time on our side but also because i want to spend as much time with her as I can. I can't imagine having another just yet.

Alexa was exactly a year when I conceived again. :)

Sooo 22 months apart. :D

We found out on Solomons 1st birthday, there will be 20 months between them, not planned an very scared!

There's 3 years and nearly 2 months between our two. TBH it's turned out to be the perfect age gap, little man is at kindy and old enough to be independent to a large extent. He's toilet trained and can help out with getting nappies, wipes etc for me when I'm dealing with the baby. He understands the need to be quiet when she's napping... Well quieter :) and knows when I'm feeding or changing her that he has to wait.
Something else that's been good is that he understands he can't leave small bits of his toys lying around for Chloe to get her hands on when she's in her walker etc... He's become very conscientious :)
It's been ideal for us :)

my son is 6 and my daughter is 8 months, there birthdays are 4 days apart. so there is a six year gap between mine, just about.
i like it though and would stick to the same age gap if i ever intended on having any more, alfie goes to school so i get time with lacie, then at night lacie goes to bed and i get an hour with alfie. and only one set of nappies lol!!

We are trying again now, since we ttc for 15 months with our first:)

Is there anyone who has a close age gap between child number two and three? I fell pregnant and there would have been an 23month age gap between 2 and 3 (19months between 1 and 2) but had a misarriage and now I am so sad that there will be a mich bigger age gap. (at least 26 months if I fall pregnant ths month) I just HATE that. :(

Jack was born 16 weeks ago today and I'm 10+3 weeks pregnant so a 10 month age gap if jack was here xxx

I'm not going to take any birth control after this lo but I am going to hopefully fly to Cyprus in June for gender selection.
I don't want to go onto the pill or anything incase it messes with my cycle. x

Jennilisanne - yayyy I had no idea you were ppreg again - whoop whoop congrats

Cosmic, I knew it , great plans for Cyprus , loving it- XX

I have a 23 mths age gap between num1 and num2 and 13 mths between num 2 and num3
and I was trying for baby 3 for 3 months before I fell too!! it's a lovely age gap tho.....

Number 4 was a 9 year age gap! Which is also lovely for my older ones, but will be lonely for my little one when they are out teans, 13,11 and 10 now

TTC with IVF for number 5 (everything crossed for testing this week) but would be a 2 years 2 months age gap or 5/ 6mths bigger if fell later in nov /dec

For financial reasons we waited until ds was 2 until starting again, and fell straight away so fx there will be 2 years and 9 months between them. Actually I'm glad we waited this extra year (I wanted to start around this first birthday), especially seeing how our friends are coping with age gaps of 18-24 months.

For us it was the right choice to wait, as my son gets to be the baby of the family for an extra year, hopefully he'll be happy to play a bit more independent. be willing to help mummy out with the baby, and will not be teething! Ideally I would have lost the baby weight from the first time too, but my fondness for chocolate has been too strong!

Theres no perfect age gap, pros and cons for small and large gaps!

It depends on the woman and whats happening. If you do not breastfeed your baby your ovulation cycle will return pretty much anytime after the natural bleeding from pregnancy finishes, which is usually around 6 weeks.

There are 13 months between Maddie and Riley and the age gap is lovely - hard work at first but absolutely brilliant now they're 3 and 4. There will be 3 years and 9 months difference between Riley and this baby and as Maddie starts school in Sep and Riley starts Morning Nursery it'll be nice as will have time with baby at home too :)

im gonna ttc when Alyssa is 8 months so 18 ish month age gap if im lucky lol

My son was around 18 months before I found out I was pregnant again. After losing all my baby weight lol

what do you girls think its the perfect age gap between kids? being 35 and wanting 2 children, I know i cant leave it too much longer before having the 2nd.

and I had planned to start trying again when baby was about 6mnths old. however, with this pregnancy, during the really tired times I just couldnt imagine having a baby to look after aswell!

is it just one of those things you "cope with", being pregnant and having a LO to look after, or do you think its best waiting until at least 1 baby is walking about before having another?

We will start trying for our second baby once I have finished uni. So I will be having a year off with LO, then another 2 years to finish of my course when I return and would ideally like to get a job before trying again. This would make it about 3.5 - 4 years before we can TTC again :( I would prefer a smaller age gap, but I want to be able to provide for 2 children properly more so. xx

There's a 13 month gap between our first two children ( 2nd conceived while exclusively breastfeeding, so it definitely does not work as a contraception). They are now 5 1/2 and 4 1/2 and I am 14 weeks now. Left a bigger age gap as it was a bit of a blur the early days with older two and financial reasons I guess. Seems to be the right time for all of our family xx

Cam is 21 months old and Im 7 weeks. He will be almost 2.5 when little one arrives x

Sent from my shit hot phone! Fo shizzle home girls.
