How effective is Evening Primrose Oil?

I have read the other thread on evening primrose oil and am just wondering how effective it really is?

Does it actually work? Ive tried reading up about it on the net but it just says not to use in pregnancy or consult a doctor.

Any positive info is much appreciated. Thanks.
