How did you meet your OH?

I was a barmaid in his local pub (to work) he would come in at lunch time and chat me up. We were together for a year and a half - 2 years we broke up for a year and he charmed me back a year a go on x-mas eve and we've never looked back!

I met my OH when I was 14 and had just joined sea cadets, i fancied him straight away. About 2 weeks later after power boating on the sea he said he wanted to ask me something after cadets finished. I remember getting the butterfly feeling in my belly, and he asked me out.

It lasted 3 months and we broke up, but a year later we were drawn back to each other. We have been together ever since 9 years 4 months. My first love xx

my OH and I first met at a meeting (don't judge, but we're both local politicians) I didn't know him, but strolled in late (having got lost on the way), after the meeting he invited loads of us for a drink. He barely spoke to me all night. The next week we were having a dinner, we were both attending although I didn't know it at the time.

OH had, the day after the meeting, volunteered to organise the table plan, well he sat me directly opposite him, and cleverly placed rather boring people either side of me, so was forced to talk to just him. We got on so well and he invited me and a small group of others to a Rod Stewart tribute night the week after, I went and it was surprisingly good, he sat closer and closer to me throughout the night.

The next day he invited me round for a home cooked meal, half way through, his phone rang and it was his mum, he'd forgotten about his niece's 21st birthday party, so we ended up going to that as well. So on the night of our first official date, I met 4 of his sisters and 10 of his nephews/nieces.

As we got back to his, it was late, so being a gentleman he offered that I could stay, he then slept on the sofa all night. I moved in the next day and we've been together ever since. He proposed almost six months later, and we celebrated our first wedding anniversary on 12 December 2010.

My original EDD based on LMP was 9th October, which was the date of the meeting we first met at.

I met my oh on yahoo messenger. I can always remember the 1st time I saw him on webcam... I looked at him and thought omg he's horrible and I quickly logged out lol.. But then a few weeks later we got chatting properly and met up about a month later. He's my soulmate and i couldnt imagine ever being without him. We will have been together 8 years in November.

I'm embarrassed to say I was match-made to my hubby; he was working with my mum's best friend who just so happened to 'arrange' me and him meeting in a pub over 9 years ago we've been inseperable ever since. We gave her special thanks at our wedding, and she doesn't know it yet but she is going to be an honorary aunty to our baby, seeing as it is really all her fault lol

i also met my OH online...on a facebook app too Cherelle Zoosk to be exact...he he...emailed each other for about 3 weeks, then just after New Year 2009 he asked me out for a drink and we have been together ever since...

he only moved up here in october 2008 with his job...fate you see!!

getting married in november and trying for our baby....did get bfp in jan but m/c in march

he is my soulmate and i met every k**bhead around i think, then he came along and was just completely different..he really looks after me...

Aww what a lovely thread! I too met my hubby on facebook (zoosk!!). Just went on there messing around, wasn't seriously thinking i was going to meet anyone, just went on as all the girls in our office were all on there having a laugh! Anyway, got chatting to him and a few days later we met up (we lived close anyway), and we've been together ever since! Married in August 2010 and now expecting our first little one!

We have a similar story we met 14yrs ago, he used to stalk me in the pub I worked in when we were teenagers, we were together a few yrs then I moved away to university & we lost touch & didnt see each other again for 10 whole years then we met again through Facebook of all places! & he charmed me back! That was 2 years ago in Sept, he was my first love & to make it even more cute & cheesy we found out we we were expecting Baby on the day between both our birthdays (we were born 2 days apart) which was exactly a year to the day since we had got back together x

Met mine in a nightclub too, 8 years ago!! I had been abandoned by my malefriend who was flirting with one of his gym colleagues so I had to entertain myself I decided finding a nice man to kiss was a good idea and found this TDH man who literally stood out from the big group I was with by default and tried my luck. He turned out to be a real gentleman and held my handbag whilst I dancesd on the stage with my other male friend?! We kissed that night, went on a date a week later and have never looked back!! xxxx he surprised me by being v handsome but actually not arrogant and is actually sensitive and intuitive we've been married 3.5 yrs and wanted a baby all that time but my job wouldn't allow that at the time. Now different job and our baby is due 12Dec11, so happy xxx

I've known my OH for 14 years, he used to work with my ex-husband and ex-father-in-law, we used to to go on holiday as families together as i was friends with my OH's ex-wife. When i found out my ex-husband was having an affair in aug 2010, my OH and his ex-wife split may 2010, we just fell in love and got together in oct 2010 and i moved in with him in nov 2010 with my 9 year old son. We're getting married in july 2012 and hopefully will have our baby before we get married and he's my best friend, lover and soul mate and i love him to bits and cant imagne life without him.

i met my Oh in italy. it was a mutual friends birthday...but we didnt actually know each other at the time. we got introduced and i was soooo shyyyy, he was chatting on in italian and i was just like "yeah yeah ok yeah" and then i made him speak to me in english! a few days later he sent me a msg on FB with his number, i was away looking after the 2 kids i aupaired for at the time and i plucked up the courage to text him on my way home..... we met up that night and went to a club with all our friends... and VOILA!!! he asked me to be his girlfriend! that was in the July and i found out i was Pregnant in the January!!6months later!!! :OOOOO bit of a whirlwind start but i wouldnt have it anyother way!!! now we have moved back to the Uk together =))))

I met my OH on a dating site lol my mate made me a fake profile for a laugh and then one night I decided what would happen if I put about the real me on there and I got the usual pervs and weirdos and was about to give up when OH sent me a very long message and it was different to the other msgs I'd got from blokes (they were like messaging me "hi sexy" "your fit" etc blah) and we discovered that we were actually at the same Paramore gig 2 years ago but we didnt know each other existed lol if that makes sense. We started dating pretty quickly and moved in quite quick as well then we married last October and expecting a baby girl I am still happy with him, he really is my best friend and my soul mate xx

We met on Match nearly 4 years ago now. We were both looking for someone local, he was in the Navy in Plymouth and i had recently moved to Cardiff, so definitely not local, but we chatted for ages and he was just different to the other guys. We met up when he was coming to Bristol for a check up having had his eyes lasered and it all went from there. We had a few stressful times while he was still in RN, lots of weekends only and a couple of tours but he left last October, I got made permanent in Cardiff so we made it our home. We aren't married yet, I was kinda hoping it would come before the baby but fate took a hand and I couldn't be happier that we are PG, neither could he.
